Flash fiction time!!!!

Matt of The Book Blogger blog, has a weekly flash fiction challenge, where he gives us a song title for inspiration, to write a 100 word piece of fiction …
This week, the classic, “I’m Gonna Be” by The Proclaimers

“I’m gonna be ok,” she said, “I’m gonna be just fine… It’s just a little blood, I can cope!” The wave of queasiness washed over her again. What in the world had convinced her that that she could do this? The humanitarian in her had stepped up as soon as she had heard of the awful tragedy. There were injured people everywhere, they needed help, but there wasn’t enough medical support, so she offered… After all she had her first aid certificate… But dealing with a grazed knee at school, was a little different to dealing with the victims of a terrorist attack…

This piece is in memory of those victims of the London 7/7 attack… And to those Samaritans who did step up to help…

So important… Things aren’t always so simple that you walk into ready made situations that are to your advantage. There are times when it feels like EVERYTHING is against you, but many times we are so caught up in the negativity, that we forget that we are also catalysts, we can MAKE change happen, if we act on things ourselves.

That dream job isn’t just going to fall into your lap, you might have to do some searching, but you’ll get there.

That perfect partner won’t just arrive on your doorstep, you need to be looking, talking, and being proactive.

You can’t buy happiness, you have to make it yourself.

This time write a piece of flash fiction, 100 word limit, using the Boney M song, Daddy Cool, as inspiration! Then link back to The Book Blogger, Matt’s, post, as I did above!

I only asked if I could go out one evening… With a guy… 4 years older than me… It’s not that much of a big deal… Is it? Well, ask my dearest father that… He went absolutely ape shit! Like seriously loco!!! You’d have thought I had said that I was going off to become the lead concubine in a rich Maharajah’s harem, the way he reacted!!! It was like the millennium fireworks display, you know, I could literally see the rockets launching from his ears, and exploding around his head…. Wow! This time Daddy had really lost his cool!
