Sonu, Ginger And Other Furry Creatures

It’s been a while since Sonu Singh had a featured spot on the blog, so let me tell you what he was up to the other day…

Our next door neighbour (the one with ‘issues’) has two lovely cats, Smudge, who is an old cat, and a kitten called Ginger. They are outdoor cats, unlike our Sonu Singh, so we often see them in our garden.

The other day, Sonu Singh and Ginger had a face off!

He is a true cutie (not as cute as our Sonu Singh though, obviously!) and they stared  each other out for ages! Ginger won’t run when we are watching him from inside, but if I was to go out, he runs away!

And the other furry creature?

Well, a little background first.

My neighbour has been recommended for 24-hour secure housing, along with her husband, as her problems are becoming too severe. They will be moving soon. Smudge and Ginger are moving with them too. (We’ll miss the kitties!)

Anyway, our neighbour knocked on my door last week, to ask me if we wanted a rabbit. Apparently, she had one and she can’t take it with her. Unfortunately, we can’t have it, but I reassured her I would ask around. Then she proceeded to tell me that the voices in her head were telling her to get a knife and slit her wrists… I got her back home safely, worried about her, and wondering about this mysterious bunny that was now on the scene…

The other night, Hubby Dearest popped out to the summer house in our garden to fetch a beer (special fridge back there for drinks!). He came back and called to me, “Ritu… I just went to get a beer, and was faced with a rather cute, fluffy bunny!”

Well, quick as a flash, I was down there, with a torch, and a partially clothed Lil Man, sans his pyjama bottoms, to go see the bunny. It was dark, and after a few seconds of adjustment, we saw him. A gorgeous fluff ball or grey, with a really fluffy head!

He was terrified, but after around 10 minutes I was able to get close enough to catch him, and pick him up!

The poor thing was shaking!

The obvious thing to do was take a selfie with him  take him home.

Oops, my camera phone slipped and took a selfie!

Yes, he looks huge, but I think it was the angle! He was so light and felt extremely slight under all that fur!

So I took him back, and it appears that the hutch was left open in error, and the little bunny, Bugsy, as I now know him, escaped into our garden!

Hubby Dearest is having ideas… I caught his suspiciously looking at something on the iPad later that night. he hid it first (hmmm…porn?!) but then gave up the device for me to peruse… he was searching about how Cats and Rabbits could get on! Someone is clearly hoping to increase our furbaby family, but no… I had to say no! Jees, he’s such a softy!!!

I am so glad we found him, though… there are foxes around our area, and he wouldn’t have survived a night…

I shan’t share the picture of the rather large, hairy spider we found on that same night, though… that was HUGE, HAIRY and SCARY!!!!!

Cat Nerd!

I promise, I was not responsible for this one… the other dressing up, yes, that is all me.. but this was Li Princess! And you gotta admit he looks cute!!!!2016-04-01_17.58.01.jpg

Hugh’s Weekly Photo Challenge: Week 15 – Under

Hugh has been busy with his photo challenge and announced this week’s prompt here.

The prompt word – UNDER.

Of course, there are times when prompts flummox me, but yesterday as soon as I read the word, one individual came to mind. Sonu Singh!

Sonu Singh!

My feline family member is constant getting under/over/inside places he is not meant to, and I was sure I had a photo to illustrate this prompt perfectly…

Oooooh That Guilty Cat!

We got home from school and the kids couldn’t find the kitty..
Then I got a little holler from upstairs. ..

There he was, hiding from within my clothes… blending right in, camouflaged almost. But why the sheepish look?
I looked round.
Oh, I get it!

Someone had been at my hairband pot!

And left a pretty big mess!

No wonder he was being so coy!
Naughty kitty!

But I Smile Anyway...

Aw there he is, tucked up courtesy of Lil Man, under my faux fur throw on the sofa this morning…

And here he is now,  keeping me company as I watch Friends reruns!

It had been a while since there was a Sonu Singh Sighting on the blog, so here you all are Peeps!

But I Smile Anyway...
