I’m going to try to write on each of the prompts!
Today the prompt is:
Your prompt for January 18th, 2018, brought to you by Sandra, is “Revolt.” Use it any way you’d like in your post. And make sure you visit Sandra at her blog, “What Sandra Thinks” to read her post and say hi! Here’s her link: https://whatsandrathinks.com/
Thanks, Sandra!
Revolt
A revolt makes me think initially of mutiny, of thousands of peasants going on a rampage after finally deciding they were going to do something about the wrongdoers in their life.
But in reality, a revolt doesn’t have to be such a public thing, does it?
There are times in life when you realise what you’ve always done, what your community and society consider to be the norm, the right thing to do, actually isn’t the right thing for you.
Inside, you make a decision to go against what everyone else is doing, aware that you will possibly face criticism, even disappointment, with what you choose to do.
But it may be the right thing for you.
It’s not always a good thing to follow the crowd. We need individuality in our lives, but equally it is tough to step out of sync with the rest.
But if you know there is something you want or need to do, think upon it… is it time for you to stage your own personal revolt?
See you tomorrow!
