They used to be
A necessity
Until replaced
By the CD
Once played until
They wore away
Now gathering dust
No one to play
Still I hang on
To my memories
From Pop and Rock
To Soul and Cheese
And now they’re joined
By my CDs
As digital downloads
Take the lead
I loved my tapes
Recorded with love
Now they lie unused
On the shelf above
