Versatilio!!!!!

Goodness gracious another award nomination!

This time Hellaturnup of the blog Rogue Bogue nominated me for the Versatile Blogger Award! Wow!!! Thank you so much! I am touched!!!

The Rules

1. Thank the person who nominated you.

2. Include a link to their blog.

3. Pick bloggers/blogs that you have recently discovered or regularly follow.

4. Nominate them for Versatile Blogger Award.

5. Share 7 facts about yourself

7 (more) facts about me…

  1. I really don’t do sports! I come from a very sporty family, my dad played hockey, and was a record holder at his school and university for high jump! My mum loved tennis, and played lacrosse at school.  My brother was a cricketer and hockey player for Warwickshire before he got injured, and he still plays cricket in Helsinki! But me, no, the sports interest gene just bypassed me!  Don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t all that bad at things at school, I had a flair for netball, hockey, tennis and badminton, I love swimming, I just didn’t have the passion for it, like my brother! I had no interest in playing for a team, preferring to curl up with a book!
  2. I love talking, and talking… I could talk for England, which is why this blog is such a great thing for me! I can virtually blabber on and on, and no one really has to listen, but I have said my piece, so I am happy too!
  3. I hate arguments. I really can’t sleep on it… I have do sort things out before bedtime. I’d rather do that and start fresh the next day.  If things linger for longer than that, it really affects me negatively. You all know my positivity, but if I can’t sort something out with someone, if there is a problem, then it eats away at me until I know things are ok…
  4. I used to have a pet stick insect! Wow! You say. How interesting! Really? No, it wasn’t interesting at all!
  5. I am in the midst of an addiction to Thornton’s Special Toffee! Great for my taste buds, not so good for my teeth and waist line!
  6. I passed my driving test on the 4th go! 2 weeks before I got married… I’m sure the examiner felt sorry for me… I told him how far I was going from my parents, and that the train or coach journey was so bad that having a license and car would be the biggest wedding present for me… and guess what? I passed!
  7. I have climbed Dunns River Falls in Jamaica!  Woohoo! Go Me!!!!!

The Versatile Blogger Award

Awoke to another nomination!

Thank you so much to Tony Burgess for my nomination this time! I am so grateful! Please check out Tony’s great blog too!!

The Versatile Blogger Award rules:
1. Thank the person who gave you this award. That’s common courtesy.
2. Include a link to their blog. That’s also common courtesy — if you can figure out how to do it.
3. Next, select blogs/bloggers that you’ve recently discovered or follow regularly.
4. Nominate those bloggers for the Versatile Blogger Award — you might include a link back to the post on your site announcing their nomination.

5. Finally, tell the person who nominated you, seven facts about you

I’ll start with my 7 facts… The hardest thing to think of, as I seem to have done a fair few!!

  1. I have a problem with being touched on my neck…. I think it stems back to when I was born with the cord wrapped around it, 3 times!
  2. I have an unhealthy obsession with stationery!
  3. I love to dress up!…. But I hate to dress up…. If that makes sense! On a normal day, makeup does not touch my skin, but if there is an occasion, I love playing with the colours on my face!
  4. I used to help some of my cousins get ready for their wedding days painting their bindis on their foreheads. And helping with hair. One cousin had short fine hair, so we bulked it up using…. A pair of (new) socks!! Yes, socks! Imagine her hubby’s shock to see her letting her hair down, on their wedding night, and seeing a sock or two roll out!!
  5. I love to tell stories. A captive audience of children is all I need, and recently, I have been asked, at school, to read to the whole of the lower school, around 120 children! It’s exhilarating!
  6. My daughter is a mini me, and my son is a mini his daddy!
  7. I have now succumbed, and have to grudgingly say that yes, I do like One Direction songs, after being forced to listen to them for the last few weeks by Lil Princess!

And my nominees!

The Bespectacled Mother
Waffle Me This
London Kind And Funny
The Daydreamer
Ujima Magazine

Please don’t feel obliged to accept, but if you do, let me know, so I can read your facts too!
