In my garden!!!
Well, a dead one, anyway…
(Sorry, there might be pictures you don’t like here…)
Lil Man saw the photo and thought it looked cute… Dead, but cute…
But the circle of life, as it is, didn’t leave the rat there…
Quite a large raven came by, and after stalking for a while, making sure he wasn’t encroaching on anyone else’s territory, had a feast… While we were eating breakfast… Lovely!
Lil Man thought it was like watching the Discovery Channel live!
Gory, I know, but its an education in itself… This is how creatures in the wild survive…
And Sonu Singh watched on… He couldn’t see the rat, but watched the bird for ages… Maybe he was thinking, “oooh! If I was outside, I’d have a fun game of chase!”
Then, raven flew away, leaving a pile of entrails and a rat shell…
I couldn’t leave it for the kids to see, so armed with a shovel, I carefully carried the remains to one side, and disposed of them, as best I could…
(Gory pic alert!)
Poor rat, but seriously, what were you doing in my garden??? I sure hope there isn’t a colony of you somewhere nearby!

Nothing’s more interesting to a cat than a rat’s optic nerve dangling from a raven’s beak!

Lol!! To be honest, I don’t think he even saw the rat, it was the raven who was the interesting thing to him!

It must have been the foxes but trust you Ritu, to see a story in this incident and make a lively post out of it.

At least it was in the garden. My gang bring them into the house and eat them on the carpet or better, on my bed!

I hate them lol
It’s not because they are disgusting but they destroy everything on their surroundings 😮
So death suit them in any way.

So cool of you! It’s educational and all?!! I like that.
Love the raven. The kitty watching through the grass. The raven didn’t make much mess as I thought it would. Just one small area on the rat.
Nice post.
OldenGray’s comment? If one, will be more? For real?

If Cat goes outside at all, that may have been Cat’s gift to you… Or, rat fought with another rat. You just got rid of the loser.
