We took a stroll along the prom this hot afternoon, and happened upon the swans…
The sprogs enjoyed feeding them, though we hadn’t any bread, thanks to a lovely lady there who had a whole loaf, and donated a few slices!
Lil Man was a little afraid!
Even on higher ground they followed!
Lil Princess loved it, she was right there in the thick of things!
Now he was a particularly tall, majestic fellow!
And we were even blessed to see a pair of black swans!
The same yet oh so different
Me and my forever mate
Our big white cousins rush ahead for bread…
We’ll hang back and wait.

You’re so lucky! I love swans, they’re so royal and majestic. (and of course, beautiful.)
Those black ones seem to be the most content creatures in the world, judging by their expressions! 😀

I love swans ( as you can see from many posts in my blog). We had two black ones in Poole Park (home town) and in NZ it was a novelty to see a white one!

They are beautiful!
Here at A local castle, Leeds Castle, they have many black swans, and I had the pleasure of going one year on a school trip when it had been snowing. Seeing the black swans against the white of the snow.. Breathtaking!
