I know I have posted this image before… but it feels even more true and real now!
The responsibilities of teaching are huge, and it’s just the first week!
It would honestly be wonderful to kick back Friday Evening with a glass of wine, and not wake up early on Saturday… but guess what… that ain’t happening!!
In fact, to add to the fun life of the Bhathal family on a weekend, we have Lil Man’s footy training Saturday morning, and this week Lil Princess is attempting Punjabi school too! This is 3 hours of the day, learning about our religion, and also learning how to read and write in Punjabi! She really wants to go, so it’s only fair she gets to try it at least! If she manages to learn to read and write it, she’ll have one up on me!
Then Sunday Lil Man has a footy match, and Lil Princess and I should be attending a birthday party for a little family member!
Added to that, homework, and making sure I am ready for tomorrow too, and that’s my weekend done!!!!!
So, onto the rest of Friday, the last day of the first week back at school!
It’s been hectic, there has been stress, but it’s been productive, and I am so happy, I love my new job, and new class… even though there may be a few tough nuts to crack, I’m sure we’ll do it, with firm love!
Have a blessed Friday Peeps!!!!

Really pleased you had such a wonderful first week back. I am sure you will soon get into a routine with everything else that has to be done on the weekend! I am at work tomorrow which has mucked up my routine too! 🙂

Busy, yes I am! But I do enjoy my lob, thankfully!
I’m hoping this weekend is a one off, but I know we still have a few busy ones coming up over the next few weeks… I shall relax when I am able though! Roll On tomorrow!

It wasn’t too long ago that I was in the same situation. But, as they get into their early teens, there’s much less that they want mom and dad around, so…
It gets a little easier. 😀

YES! I’m already starting to pace and he’s not driving yet. Kind of rehearsing for it. 😀

That’s a full weekend. I’ve got a 4-day weekend coming up, so I’m trying to beg people for either Saturday or Sunday ‘off’ for writing. I’ve tried to ask for sleeping, but that never works. I have to ask, but what’s footy?

I want one of those! A 4 day weekend!!! Footy is football, aka soccer!

Got it. Well the 4 day weekend is not for me. The little guy has Monday and Tuesday off from school, so it’s really his vacation. Though not being able to work (joy of working from home) means I have a forced one. Just so many days off this month.

Makes maintaining consistent hours difficult. Do you keep working or take a 30 minute break to watch the DVR?

That’s the fate of being a mom… don’t worry, Ritu, that time passes! I know you actually enjoy it with your kids, and when you enjoy the more relaxed years you will always be happy you have these days stored in your memories. For now: hang in, mom 🙂
