Hugh’s Photo Challenge #4 – Isolated

I thunk and I thunk… It’s actually easier to write, using one word inspiration, for me, than to think of something to photograph…

The word… Isolated… Thanks Hugh!

But then I remembered a photo I took, a few months back, on a family walk out at the prom. There is a lovely park on the bank of the Thames here in Gravesend, and in the spring and summer, it is a pleasant place to stroll with the family.

Lil Man takes every opportunity to get out there and kick a ball about so that day was no different… Except there is always that danger of losing your ball when playing close to water…

And lose it he did! His brand new bright orange ball… Bobbing away across the Thames, possibly in the hands of a little Essex boy now…

Though Lil Princess was convinced it would float out, into the open seas, cross oceans, and land in India, where my in laws were at the time. And that they would bring it back, obviously!
So here is my take on Isolated…

Definitely a tough one! But you chose the right pic combine with the story to it 🙂

Wouldn’t it have be amazing if it did end up in India, Ritu? I’ve heard of messages in bottles ending up across the other side of the world. I can just imagine your son’s face when your in-laws walk through the door with that football in their hands. Maybe buy another and hand it to them when they come over?

Isolated that ball certainly says. Let’s hope it ended up somewhere safe and is not still bobbing around.

Thanks for participating in the challenge. ⚽️
