Linda’s #SoCS prompt today.
Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: “any.” Begin your post with the word “any.” Bonus points if you theme your post on another word that starts with “A.” Have fun!
Any rest is good rest…
I’m a mum. A working mum.
We all know mums don’t get weekends, or lie ins!
We have just started our Easter holidays and today, on my first day of vacations…I was up. At six o’clock!
For a change there was no cat nor kid waking me, it was just my natural body clock saying “Wake up lazy bones!”
I mean… seriously?!
It’s not like I could have snuck off to the computer and started to read blogs or write… Hubby thinks I obsess over my blog too much as it is!
I tossed and turned for a while before at the more decent time of 7 am, I picked up my Kindle and started to read.
Then they began to rouse from slumbers.
The miaows for food began, the Lil Princess crept into our room with a grin, “Hungry, mummy!” Lil Man was on his phone (Quelle surprise!).
So anyway, here I am. It’s not even 9 am and I am on the PC, quickly typing up my #SoCS post as Lil Princess is desperate to get on here to watch cute cat videos, obviously!
So much to do yet, grocery shopping, packing for my visit to my parents, with the kids, amongst other things.
At least I am awake to do them, I suppose!
Awake!

I was up really early on Saturday morning too after going to bed at 2.30am (which I rarely do)! This is the first 2 days off together I have had for ages so was trying to make the most of it! Needless to say, I also napped half of Saturday afternoon away! 🙂

Today was my day off and my one chance to sleep in. Of course, my sons high school decides to hold track practice at 8 AM on a Saturday…

It’s funny, although I get up at 6.15 am each day I have no problems to sleep a lot longer on the weekends. It is like I am setting my inner clock too… lol!

I can relate totally, Ritu, except with the getting up point. I get up at 5am every day so that I can read blogs and write.

well being on your blog while you do other Mommy things is OK as long as it doesn’t distract too much. I mean, don’t feed cat breakfast waffles and give Lil’ Man cat food. yeh. that wouldn’t be good.

I long ago forgot what sleeping in is. To be truthful, though, I wasn’t much of a sleep-iner(I totally made up that word) before I became a mom. I’m usually up between 4-5 a.m. so I can get some writing done before the kids get up.

I’m more of a morning person too to be honest… but the idea of a lie in is so sweet!
