Monday Madness

I had a different thought for this morning’s post initially.

Something light and fluffy, you know, the typical Ritu-style…

But I woke to news that really affected me.

Another incident.

Another attack.

Another, possibly-terrorist, attack in London.

And no, Isis won’t be claiming this one.

This time it was a white van ploughing into worshippers leaving the Finnsbury Mosque in East London, as they had finished their prayers to signal the end of their fast that day.

One dead and eight injured.

Senseless.

Revenge.

More innocents killed or injured, for what?

Most of those affected were probably law-abiding Muslim citizens, who don’t condone all the previous attacks. True Muslims, who follow their religion with respect.

Yet Islamophobia and misinformation has led to someone thinking tit for tat, an eye for an eye, is the answer.

The driver of the van was detained by the public until the Police arrived.

When will it all end? Really?

Revenge is not sweet
No. It leaves a bitter taste
Of poison spreading…
Humanity, where are you?
Compassion, this world needs you.

I wish there was a ‘love’ button instead of a ‘like’ button. Hate is too stronger and makes people do ugly things. I really wish there could be peace in the world but I know there never will be as long as humans are around. 😦

Every day, every morning I wake up with a smiling face with hope but when I open the TV news, sadness, worries, coming back again. When will it be end, I wonder. I pray with all my heart, I pray, all good people, nice people, beautiful people to make something to stop them. In the power of them I want to believe… I hate to ask the same question, why, why, why….

I am sad for this tragic events dear Ritu, My hear, my thoughts, with you all.
    Love, nia

Ritu, yes it was madness and hatred that ruined the holy Ramadan for those worshippers. Everyone needs to meet this wall of Hate with prayer, hopes or wishes. Peace may reign! 🕊 💞

😑 two wrongs Do NOT make a right. How shameful that humanity continues paying back, targeting, and placing blame. 😒

We had something similar happen in Canada at the end of last January. A home grown idiot walked into a mosque in Quebec city and shot people at prayer. Disgusting.
The outrage across the country was long and loud, and people were generous in their support of the families that lost loved ones, but that didn’t bring those men back.
What is it with humanity? When will we learn?

The rock star Jimi Hendrix is given credit for this, but I’m not sure if he didn’t find it somewhere else. He said, “When the power of love overpowers the love for power, the world will know peace.” I wrote a blog two weeks ago using this theme. Check it out. We need to continue to show our outrage when these things happen. Otherwise, society will show complacency. Thank you for posting your feelings.

You’re exactly right, Islamophobia and misinformation only causes trouble and brings pain. What a senseless, cruel time we are living in.

I saw some videos where a woman said that they would not have survived without help from the local Muslim boys. Nobody saw religion, in a time of crisis. Politicians need to relent on their senseless ideas of ruling the world.

Retribution is a pointless thing that just perpetuates the cycle of anger and bad feeling, Ritu. I also heard about this first thing this morning. It is very sad…
