Wave Of Light #infantloss

Not only tonight
Do I remember you, child
But every night
Ritu 2019

The moment I knew you were there, growing within, you gained a life, an identity, all of your own.

It matters not that you were with me mere weeks.

You were real.

You were mine.

And the moment I knew you were gone, a piece of me died.

I’ll always remember you, my two angels ♥️

Today I lit a candle at 7pm, joining thousands, to create a wave of light, remembering our beautiful babies that were, perhaps, too good for this world.

    My hand squeezes your shoulder.
My heart pulls at your pain.
While my memories are not so distant
    The touch of cool flesh,
A cry of his name name.
    Echoes in winless forests.
Wets my face as misty Autumn rain.
Lest we forget to recall, we mother’s
    Remember more than our pain.

When you see your living children grow up you wonder what the lost one would have been like and what your lost sisters would have been like. It happens to so many of us but it has always been so.

I miscarried my second child. Nothing prepares you for such a loss. I often wonder if he (or she,) lived what would he,(she) be like now. Sad memories, Ritu. x

Beautiful… I am so sorry you have experienced this. It is heart breaking. We lost ours at almost five months pregnant… Will never forget him, then eight years ago his niece (I believe) joined him. I told my daughter that her little one was greeted by her uncle in heaven. ❤
