Linda’s SoCS prompt.
Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “wash/awash.” Use one, use both, use ’em any way you like. Bonus points for using both. Enjoy!
Last week, after experiencing that water shortage, I can tell you that I have a newfound appreciation for a good wash.
Washing hair with little to no pressure is high on impossible, too.
Our local Facebook group was awash with posts about who had water, and who didn’t, and there were plenty more posts from people offering help or assistance. Offers to leave their hose pipes out for those without water, or to collect bottles from the water bank that had been set up by the water company.
And that is my story of a wash!

You reminded me of something similar: when there’s some kind of weather emergency that knocks out the power and/or water, the people who make Tide detergent will come in with a truck that has washers and dryers (and presumably a generator) so people can do their laundry. Somehow, having clean clothes after you’ve been through a hurricane or some other weather disaster helps people regain a sense of normal. I can imagine you’re feeling that way, being able to wash your hair…

Well that is great of the Tide people!
We had a water station where the earee company provided bottled water… But no showers!

It’s always good to see people willing to help. Restores a little faith in humanity. I hope your water woes have washed away.

Absolutely, Dan!
They are gone, for now. But there us talk of another heatwave, and possible water issues again, soon!
I’m just filling up all the empty plastic bottles, just in case!

I am so grateful for all the water I get and afraid that the shortage will strike.
