The Miranda Sings Award!

image

It’s always lovely to be recognised for an award and especially when you are given a brand new award.
This is the case today.
Our lovely blogger It’s Good To Be Crazy Sometimes, nominated me for this newbie award, the Miranda Sings Award!
Thank you so much! I always so humbled to be chosen for awards 🙂
The award is a new one created by Claudia’s Thoughts to celebrate yourself and let us all know what you are happiest about, when it comes to yourself.

Rules:

  1. Announce your win with a post and link the blogger who nominated you.

  2. Include the featured image on your blog post.

  3. Nominate 10 bloggers (or as many as you can think of) and link your awardees in the post.

  4. List 7 things you love about yourself (This can be about your appearance, your personality, your achievements, etc.)

  5. Don’t use negative connotation. (I.e. Don’t say things like – I’m prettier than an average person or People have told me I’m smart. You ARE pretty. You ARE smart etc!)

OK so it’s a not weird writing things I love about myself. .. but here goes!

1. My family. Without them, I would not be the ‘me’ I am today 🙂
2. My positivity. Try me. I can usually find the silver lining in most situations!
3. My imagination. It can take me all sorts of places, and I’m sure many of you have seen that when I’m writing!
4. My hair. It’s curly and crazy. .. Kinda like me!
5. My job. I teach and I do believe I’m good at what I do. I love knowing I’m moulding the future generations… even though they are driving me crazy this year!
6. My smile. I believe a genuine smile can reach places other actions cannot. It became my identity at university. If someone didn’t know my name, they’d refer to me as ‘that smiley, curly haired girl from Birmingham”!
7. My storytelling ability. I am not afraid to say it. I love to read stories, and I’m good! I am often asked at school if I can go read a story in other classes, but due to having my own class now, I cannot often do this.

And to my nominees…

#Girl Love Tag

girllove

A day doesn’t go by when someone doesn’t make me feel special, by way of a comment, or a hug, or a mention. Today is no different. In fact today was extra special! Today I got tagged with the #girllove tag by not one, but three wonderful bloggers who I love and respect.

First I was honoured to have been mentioned by Marjorie of Kyros Magica, and then by my wonderful blog sis Erika, and after that, the lovely Lisa , later in the evening! You know me, I am not one to actually participate in these things normally, as I find it hard to get the time to do them, but when something new comes up, I feel I should at least give it one good go!

Here’s what you do for the #GirlLoveChallenge:

  1. Tell your followers who inspire you, a famous woman who may be dealing with negativity on a daily basis.
  2. Tell your followers who inspire you in real life, a woman you always interact with.
  3. Tag five women bloggers who you love. Compliment them and tell them why you love them, and comment under their latest post with the link to your #GirlLove post!

So, here goes…

  • A famous woman of inspiration, who may have to deal with negativity on a daily basis…
  • princess dInspirational women… there are many out there, both dead and alive. It’s hard to find just one, but I have to choose Princess Diana, Lady Di, Diana Spencer. I loved to read all about her, all the things  she did, her charitable concerns, and her family life. She was a lady who, despite immense pressure, was there for her children, and for the people of her country, and fought for those around the world in difficulty, and she really made a difference. Despite being hounded daily, and when he was divorced from Prince Charles, being maligned by many, she still went on doing good, not caring what others thought, and helping to bring up two young sons, who have grown up to be a credit to her.

  • My real life inspiration… comes as no surprise at all. My mother. She who gave birth to me, and made me who I am today. She who is there for me no matter what. She who has been through so much, and always come through everything with her head held high, her dignity in tact, and a smile on her face. Love you to pieces mum, I don’t know what I would do without you.

  • And my 5 nominations… 5 is hard to do, there are so many amazing ‘girl’ bloggers out there, I couldn’t mention everyone… My dear blog sisters have been tagged already today, so I shall try and tag those I haven’t seen tagged so far…
  • Kristin
  • Trish
  • Caitlin
  • Adi
  • Sandra

As I said, there are so many more I would love to tag, but for now, here are 5 amazing bloggers! Please check these wonderful girls out!

Thank you again to Marjorie and Erika, love to you both!

Spirit Animal Blog Award – A New One For Me!

I wake on the last day of the year 2015, and in my notifications, I am blessed with an award nomination from Susie of Susieshy45. Please if you don’t already, go check Susie’s blog out!

It’s a new, unfamiliar award to me, the Spirit Animal Bog Award!

Rules:

  1. Display the logo… Done!

spirit-animal-blogger-award

2. Write a short description about you and what your blog means to you, oh, and if you were an animal, what animal would you be.

3.  Nominate fellow bloggers to pass the award on to.

So, here goes!

I am a 40 year old working mum. A teacher by day, and for the rest of the hours of the day, I am a mum to 2 crazy kids, and wife to a wonderful hubby, a devoted daughter, and daughter-in-law, and part time blogger! My days are packed with so much stuff, yet I feel I have to come to my blogosphere regularly, to have some me time!

I started this blog over a year ago, on a whim, as a friend had started one.  I didn’t know what a blog was to be honest! And as for followers… who would want to follow me if I didn’t even know what a blog was!

Over time, I started to write, about my life, then I rekindled my love for writing, and my creative side woke up! So all in all you get a pretty eclectic mix of things I blog about on here… from my family, and Kids Logic, to Spidey’s Serene Sundays.  Sonu Singh, my fur baby, is a star in his own right on here too! My opinions and memories flow, when they want, and then, when it hits, I can be poetic! I love to take part in certain challenges, like Ronovan’s weekly haiku challenge, and his Friday Fiction Challenge, and there is Matt the Book Blogger’s Flash Fiction Foray challenge too.

And  I have discovered some amazing people on this platform, some who have become a part of my daily life, a real Blogily, as I like to call them!  This blog is a place to relax, be me, and interact with many likeminded people from all over, who I would never have met in real life!

Now if I was an animal, what would I be??!!  I used to say a monkey, but, much as I love them, no.  I think I would like to be a dolphin… free, in the sea, intelligent!  Or maybe a cat… what a life eh!

And I need to nominate some fellow bloggers too!

Erika Kind   My dear blog sis –  an amazingly positive person who has made my blogging experience so special this last year!

Rich – My Pizzalicious Blog bro! He has recently discovered that he is an amazing poet!

Judy My Kentish blog sis who shares the same sense of humour as me, and has some fantastic comical poetry, as well as some great posts that have stemmed from her work in Nursing.

Rob – I am not quite sure how to describe my Leibster Meister, Rib Rob! But what I can say is that if you follow his blog you won’t be disappointed! What started as a weight loss journey, slowly evolved, and you get music, (his own!) and some great thoughtful pieces, as well as some hysterical Tid Bit Tuesday posts!

Syl – now if thoughtful verse is what you are after, then you should check out Syl’s blog. His poems, and words, are inspirational!
