“Isn’t it a bit strange to be so happy to be prescribed meds?”

#SoCS Oct. 15, 2022 – Happy Place

Linda’s SoCS prompt.

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “happy place.” Write the first thing that comes to mind when you think of “happy place.” Have fun!

Where is your ‘happy place’? I have a few, but that’s because I’m easily pleased!

  • My favourite happy place is with my family, be it in my own home or with my parents.
  • I also love visiting a bookshop. That is always sure to make me smile.
  • In a sweet shop…
  • Sitting in my reading and writing room with a good book, a hot cup of tea and Sonu Singh dozing by my side.

But, honestly, I can make anywhere my happy place by the way I use my mindset. 🙂

One-Liner Wednesday – Parent’s Evening

“As a teacher, it’s very strange being the person on the other side of the desk at Parents Evening.”

#SoCS Oct. 08, 2022 – The Back Of The Fridge

Linda’s SoCS prompt.

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “back of the fridge.” Write the first thing that comes to mind when you think of the phrase “back of the fridge.” Enjoy!

I try to be so organised with my fridge, ensuring that I rotate things as soon as the shopping arrives and I put the newer items at the back, so the closer to date items get used first.
Why, then does my husband feel the necessity to dig past the stuff that needs using, to eat the 'fresh' stuff at the back of the fridge?
It's not as if I leave out of date food there.
It's all edible.
But that really frustrates me!

One-Liner Wednesday – Nervous Anticipation

“When that day you all know is coming, arrives, and you really don’t know how to feel…”

(I will tell you all about it, I promise, but not right now!)
