Oh you know I love this challenge!
It’s Flash Fiction Foray time!
Matt , The Book Blogger, has a weekly challenge, where he gives us a song prompt, to write a 100 word Flash Fiction piece…
This week, the inspiration comes from the song “Feeling Good” by many artists, over the years, but personally, for me, it has to be Nina Simone!

Selfie Culture

She peeled herself of the floor.

It had been an exhausting day, and to top it off, this session was, well, the icing on the cake… Gulping half her bottle of water down, she wiped the sweat from her brow, and turned to look at herself in the mirror… Sucking her breath in, and holding her stomach tight, she looked pretty thin. She quickly got out her phone, it was never far away, and pouted as she quickly took a selfie.

Instagram, Twitter, Facebook. Yup it was uploaded everywhere.

10 minutes later, 136 likes already! Yeah… she was feeling good!

FFF #10 School’s Out

One of my favourite times of the week, Matt The a Book Blogger has his flash fiction challenge and this week, the song prompt is Aluce Cooper’s “School’s Out”, to celebrate the fact that the majority of UK schools are breaking up for summer this week…(not mine… We still have to wait until next Friday!!!

For my Fellow Teacher Peeps everywhere!

She rolled over and felt, blindly, for the snooze button… Why did it always get to 6am so soon? Oh man, 15 minutes more, please! Don’t make me get up! Slowly, she rolled out of bed, and dragged herself to the bathroom to wash her face and brush her teeth. Looking in the mirror, she saw a bedraggled wreck of a woman staring back at her. She tried to remember the countdown… How many days left? 4? 3? Then it dawned on her! 1! One day left! Just today! School’s Out For Summer!!!

You could hear the teachers cheers EVERYWHERE!

Days of no inspiration
Missing posts written by people I’ve come to care about
HTML!
Spam
Trolls on other blogs (I haven’t been hit yet, and if I have, I’m too dappy to have realised!)
Forgetting to tag properly
When spellcheck, or predictive text goes wrong on my mobile or iPad, and I end up publishing something that makes me sound stupid!
Too many talented writers out there, and not enough time!
Ignorance
The hold this blog has on me! It’s terrible!

10 things I LOVE about blogging

The amazing friends I have made on here!
The fact that my passion for writing has finally come out and I have an audience of readers out there who actually enjoy what I babble on about!
I can air my views, and know that that is exactly what everyone reading will understand, that they are just my views, not law!
The opportunities to learn so much about cultures, and different places via amazing blogs on here!
I know I can come on here and have a fantastic conversation with someone, pretty much any time of the day or night!
Being able to share my knowledge and experiences, thoughts and opinions, and hopefully give something to the world that will help make someone’s day a better one!
There is ALWAYS something great to read!
The inspiration I get from the wonderful friends I have in my blogosphere!
Getting these gratefully received awards from people, who feel I actually deserve them ,and that in itself makes me feel so wanted!
Same as #10 in hate… The hold this blog has on me, I actually love it, and wouldn’t change it now! I find myself waking up and wanting to see what is happening on my reader, and notification page, eager to interact with you all!

I hope you all enjoyed my list, as you know, I hated doing this challenge last time, as I am not a natural hater or negative person, and I found it hard… this was also not easy, but easier than the last time!

I am not going to nominate specific people, but this time I open it up to all of you, all my wonderful Peeps! If you want to, take the Love/Hate challenge, and see what kid of a list you could come up with!
