This is what happens when all the rest of the family have birthdays in February. We’re a week in and we’ve cut three cakes already. No wonder my clothes are groaning, because I am far too good at eating said cake!
Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “page.” Use it as a noun or a verb. Have fun!
Page is always appropriate with an avid reader and writer, however, the first thing that came to my mind was my first ever haircut!
As a young British Indian child, I was there with my long, long hair in a plait at school, and all my friends had these cool (to me) haircuts and well, I wanted one, too.
It took a lot of convincing because cutting our hair is not really embracing the Sikh way, however, after a lot of pleading to my Pops, my mum took me to a little salon.
And I ended up with what was called a pageboy cut. Okay, so it looked more bowl-like, but this hairstyle virgin was more than happy!

Unbelievably
Sily sense of humour

Your prompt for JusJoJan January 30th, 2022, is “prepare.” Use the word “prepare” any way you’d like. Enjoy!
I was prepared, today, to be in full writing mode!
Yesterday, after feeling a little unwell, I perked up, and got the chores I wanted to do, done, so I was prepared for a day I could dedicate to my words.
And all that preparation worked!
I announced to Hubby Dearest, on Friday that this weekend would be a 2k weekend. He responded, with “Two thousand? That’s going to be a bit tough, isn’t it?”
I do love a challenge.
And so, after a day with barely any words, on Saturday, I embarked upon my writing Sunday, and by lunchtime, I had 1300 new words. I finished up in the afternoon, with just over 2500!
All that preparing worked! Yay! And part two of my three parts in the book is complete! (First draft, anyway!)
