  1. A huge thank you to Rob of Art By Rob Goldstein for considering me eligible for this award. It is not one that I have received before!

Rules For The Nominees:

  • Display the award logo on your blog. √
  • List the Rules. √
  • Thank the blogger who nominated you and provide a link to their blog. √
  • Mention the creator of the award and provide a link as well. √
  • Tell your readers three things about yourself. √
  • Answer five questions from the nominee. √
  • Nominate anywhere from ten to twenty bloggers. √
  • Notify the bloggers by leaving a comment on their blog. √
  • Ask your nominees any five questions of your choice, including one weird or funny question. √
  • Share the link to your best post. √

Ok, so three things abut me…

  1. I am a British Indian woman, with a Kenyan background thrown in, thanks to my parents being born there.
  2. I wear many hats… Daughter, sister, wife, mother, friend, teacher, blogger, author… I wonder where I have the time to sleep sometimes…
  3. I love to sing! I find a song for all occasions! And if I can’t find one, I’ll make one up!

5 questions to answer…

  1. Would you jump in front of a bus for a complete stranger? I think it depends on the situation. If I was with my children, I couldn’t leave them and put myself in danger. If I was alone, I would.
  2. If a neighbour was a hoarder and lived in unsafe and unhealthy conditions, would you ignore it or take action?  If you did, what would it be? It would depend on how well I knew the neighbour.
  3. If you could go back in time and change one day in your life, which day would it be and why? A bad decision I made a good few years back. I can;ty go into details, but that day comes back to haunt me regularly.
  4. What is your favourite word? I can’t have one favourite word, I’m a writer!!!
  5. The weird question:  If you knew you could get away with it, would you rob a bank? It would haunt me for the rest of my life, so no!

My nominees…

I know some don’t accept awards, so consider this a thank you for being such amazing writers, inspiring me in many ways!

Room 101 Award!

Wow! Thanks to Lisa from  Life Of An El Paso Woman I have a new award tag post to respond to!

room-101-blog-award

As it is a new one to me, I shall respond fully!

  1. Thank the blogger that nominated you.✔
  2. Award five bloggers that fascinate, intrigue or tickle your curiosity with the Room 101 award badge logo on their about pages and linking to them in your post.
  3. Tell us the five things that you would banish to Room 101!
  4. Attach these rules to your post. ✔
  5. Grab your badge above and enjoy adding it to your trophy case, but please be respectful of the creator of the award by never altering the logo and never changing the rules. ✔

What/Who would I banish?

This was really hard, I have to say! Everything I thought of, I realised that no, actually that is quite important too, so I was having a little argument with myself in my head…. must have looked like a lunatic!
  1. Politicians – Just because! It always seems that though they apparently have an important job to do, they always cock it up!
  2. Little Lego pieces – My son would hate me if that happened, but seriously, the amount of times I have stepped on them, or clogged my hoover up with them, they are soooooo annoying!
  3. Intolerance – self-explanatory really, If we were all tolerant of each other, and everything hatred would become a thing of the past.
  4. Bitter Gourd – I know it is a vegetable that has the most amazing properties, helping diabetes sufferers, but it is so bitter, I can’t stand it!
  5. Photoshop – Why allow tweaked photos to rule what we should look like? Take normal, untouched photos, and use them, and be proud to show the world what you really look like, celebrities!

Who shall I pass this award tag onto…?

Sandra
Tony
Paul
Nimi
Adi

As always, please, no pressure to take part!

Blogger Appreciation Award

baa

Another new award this week graced my inbox… this time from my amazing blog sis Erika!  Now if you aren’t familiar with Erika’s blog, you need to head over there ASAP! If you think I am positive, you need to read hers!  She is a fountain of positivity, and her posts are truly inspirational! Love ya sis! Thank you so much for nominating me and with such great company! I feel blessed to have the blogily I do on here!

On to the award… The Blogger Appreciation Award.  Touches me to think that someone appreciates my blog, or me! 😛

The Rules of the Award

(1) Thank the blogger who nominated you, link back to their site –

(2) Use the award image –

(3) Write a paragraph of something positive about yourself –

(4) Nominate and notify as many bloggers as you wish. I

It’s always hard to write something positive about yourself.. you feel like you are almost boasting.  And that is so not what I am about! I totally believe that we all have some form of positivity within us, and different people help that positivity to become visible.

Similarly for me, my family bring out the fierce protectiveness that I have for them inside me. They bring out the love that I have, bubbling over in my heart for them. My friends bring out the loyalty that I have. The children I teach bring out the fun in me. So, yes, there is positivity from me, I am loyal, loving, fun, protective, happy, imaginative, and just generally me!

As for nominations… There are so many bloggers I would love to nominate for this. I appreciate all the bloggers I follow, as well as the ones who follow me.  I always wish I had more time to interact even more with everyone.

Allow me to pass this award on to all my blogily, near and far.  Please feel free to accept this award if you have read this post 🙂

I appreciate, and love each and every one of you, and hope we are all connected, as we are, for many years to come!
