*Share 7 things about yourself.

*Nominate other bloggers and comment on their blogs

7 (new) things about me!

1. I love a simple ham sandwich…just ham and butter on white bread… Simplicity itself, and so tasty!!!

2. I can’t STAND smelly feet!!!! Seriously, it’s one of my pet hates!!! That odour… Makes me retch!

3.I once went on a midnight forest walk… Part of a hen weekend in Wales. We encountered a group of ‘hippies’ and they were gathered in a large circle singing, and doing something because there was a full/new moon, or something like that! They got excited, seeing a group of Indian girls, enthusiastically asking us if we knew any ‘bhajans’, religious Hindu songs, but none of us were religious. They weren’t disappointed though, we launched into a few popular Bollywood songs, stayed with them for half an hour and left them, singing and playing their drums!

4. I used to have a pet stick insect. It was so boring educational… I’d watch the jar for hours, and it did nothing!!!

5. My favorite Disney movie of all times is The Jungle Book!!! I Love Love Love it!! All the songs, and the characters!!

6. I’ve recently become a granola, fruit and yoghurt convert for breakfast… Who knew it tasted so good??!! And healthy too!

7. I love creating displays at school! That really gets my creative juices flowing! Making something to display and celebrate the kids work, but also to encourage more learning! Its lime a little work of art every time!!!

And as for my nominations…

imageOh my! ‘Tis definitely time to get my award frock out, me thinks!!!

I open my notifications to this beauty!
This wonderful award, the Sisterhood of The World Bloggers Award, has been sent my way by the lovely Deana of Eat Pray Love Mom blog. Thank you so much Deana, for thinking of me, I’m flattered and humbled, and honestly thankful that you thought of me!! 😘😘

Rules for the Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award:

Thank the giver and link their blog to your post.
Answer the 10 questions given to you.
Pass the award on to 7 other bloggers of their choice and let them know that they have been nominated.
Include the logo of the award in a post or on your blog.

Deana’s Questions for Me:

1) If you were alone in a park and you walked by a man crying and there was nobody else around, what you do?

Wow… It would depend on the time… I would probably walk on, find someone, and get them to come back with me to check on the guy.

2) How do you feel about gun control?

I hate guns, so unless it is a true necessity, I don’t believe they should be around normal homes.

3)If you were the leader of your country, what are three things you would do to change the country for the better?

Sort out immigration, the Education system, and the welfare system.  Close after that would be the NHS.

4) Are there certain slang words for vagina that you hate?

Floor, fanny, lady garden, twat… I can cope with, it’s c**t that I don’t like, or Cee U Next Thursday!!

5) What does HUMANISM mean to you?

I do believe there is a divine being above all else, but I also think that He gives us choices, so we, to an extent are free to create our own destiny.

6) Apple or Android?

I use both!!

7) If you had to wear makeup & do you hair every day for a year or go without makeup and your hair in a pony tail for a year, which would you do?

The latter.. Makeup and hair is not the be all and end all of my life!

8) Do you have a style?

I do, it’s my style!!

9) Do you think that mainstream music is acceptable for your children? Or if  you don’t have kids, do you think there are mainstream artist who’s music is geared towards kids but shouldn’t be?

I think most mainstream music is ok, but there are some artists who are, shall we say, more graphic, and you have to kinda censor their listening!

10) What do you think of when you hear the word FART?

My family! I’m sorry but we are a toilet humour family, and farts always make me think of them…!!

Let’s get started and here come the rules:

Thank the person who nominated you. (Thank you lovely xxx)
Answer the questions from the person who nominated you.
Nominate a few other bloggers.
Notify the bloggers on their blog.

The questions for me to answer:

What makes your heart shine?
My family makes my heart glow, not just shine!  They are what keep me going throughout life too!

What do you do, if there are clouds in front of your inner sun?
I try and blow the clouds away… or I look for that silver lining.. three’s always a silver lining… I firmly believe that!

What would a perfect day for you look like?
It would be a warm day, with no breeze, I would wake up from a full night’s sleep… honestly! And then have a leisurely breakfast. Time spent with the children, with no pressure of homework, and quality time with my Hubby Dearest too! Food would be brought to me, not needing my help with preparing! There would be no housework to do either! I wouldn’t mind being home, but not having any demands on my time would be amazing!

What is your favorite quote?
I don’t know who sais it but “It’s better to die on your feet than to live on your knees…”
It really meant something to me, about living life to the fullest, and not taking the safest options all the time, because you really don’t know what tomorrow might hold…

What was your greatest insight?
My greatest insight… I think once I became a mother, it made me realise just how much, and what my mum did for us children.  What she gave up for us, to be there for us as a full time supportive mum.
