Wednesday Wisdom

wpid-fb_img_1438793498680.jpgBe the bigger person peeps, know you are the better one too, by walking away.

I often tell my pupils, when they are little and whinging about someone being silly towards them, “Ignore them, don’t let them know they are affecting you. It will sink in that they are not important enough to affect you soon enough, then they will stop too.”

I have often had to tell my own children too.  I want them to learn to pick their battles, and realise some are just not worth fighting. Be the bigger person, and walk on to better things.

Have a wonderful Wednesday Peeps!

Wise Word Wednesday

Quotes-about-kidsI read this and it touched me.

That really is the unconditional love of pets.

But it’s also the unconditional love of young children too.

I’ve lost count of the times I have probably blown a fuse at the kids, and probably been a mean-ass mum, stressed out because of home, and work, and all manner of things, yet my Lil Man still comes up to me and hugs me and says “Don’t worry mummy, you’re still the best ever!”

I know I’m not, but just to hear that is the best feeling.

I will leave you with this thought…

In my culture, we think of young children as the face of God, unspoiled, innocent, open minded… They are a clean page when they are born. They know only good… the way they turn out is our doing… What kind of introduction are you going to write on the clean page of your child’s life book? It will have a bearing on their whole life story…

Happy Wednesday Peeps!

Wednesday Wine

Walk Away Wednesday

If someone tries to push your buttons, just so they get a reaction, be the bigger person.

It will just annoy the heck outta the others!!!!!

Wise words on a Wednesday!!!

Enjoy your day Peeps!!

Weight Word Wednesday

wpid-fb_img_1439226883201.jpgI love this image!  Marilyn Monroe, one of the sexiest women to grace this planet, an icon for many…she was no size zero! She had the lumps and bumps that us normal women have, she had curves in all the right places, and a few in other places too! But hey, who cared!

She was beautiful, and that air she had about her was what counted, not the figure. She was happy in her body, not hiding away, and that happiness showed as she would confidently show herself as nothing other than herself. No air-brushing for our Marilyn!

So be happy ladies, celebrate your lady lumps! I know my stretch marks and mummy tummy are the souvenirs left by  pregnancy and motherhood, and I wear em with pride!!!

(I just don’t flaunt em.. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone!!)
