Ok so in the 777 challenge, I posted an excerpt of the book I had started many moons ago, and there was a lot of positive reactions to it.
I just read, or re-read it, and was pleasantly surprised… I’m a few chapters into the story, nearly 13,000 words down…
So, the big question… Do you wanna read some of it? If I get enough likes and comments of encouragement, I will do… But I need coaxing… I’m nervous!

I have been challenged by Marjorie of the blog Kyrosmagica for the 777 Challenge…
What is this challenge? Well basically you need to go to your latest work in progress – WIP – and find the 7th page, go down to the 7th line and basically share the next 7 sentences from it. And then challenge 7 others to be brave!
It’s a toughie for me, as I hate to not accept a challenge… But I had things in the pipeline from long ago, that haven’t been finished. My kids poetry stories are not long enough, and the Chick -Pea Curry Lit one is definitely a WIP so I guess I could use that one!
So, here goes… I’m not too confident about what you will all think. But here goes…
Wedded Stress
BEEEEEEEEP!!!!!!
Aashi looked into her rear-view mirror, and saw an extremely long line of cars trailing behind her. Slowly she looked at the speedometer and realized why there were a few annoyed people behind her. As her mind focused on the present moment, she could hear not one but a whole orchestra of horns blaring behind her. She couldn’t really blame them, she was only doing 15 miles per hour! A road came up on her left and she turned into it, found the first available parking space (well really it was the first space in which three cars could fit, but Aashi hadn’t quite got the hang of parallel parking), stopped the car, and burst into tears.
Oblivious to everyone outside her car, Aashi bawled for a good ten minutes then slowly got herself together.
So… What did you think!?! I’d be intrigued… I had written about 13,000 words on this one, before it sank into the back of beyond, as marriage, and then motherhood hit! If you wanted to, I could post a couple of chapters to get feedback… And if the reaction is positive, I’m may even carry it on!

I’m not looking every few moments now…
I worried, has the shine gone dim?
Am I cooling?
Has the novelty worn off?
But then I thought about it,
And no,
I’m still as passionate about it
I’ve just managed to create
A healthy balance
Between life and the Blogosphere!
Do you know what I mean?
In the beginnings, it was all about the numbers,
The views,
The comments,
The reblogs,
The STATS!
But now, it’s all about the interaction
The community,
The conversations
The FRIENDSHIPS!
At first I’d blog ten times a day
Flooding your reader
With my kind of nonsense
But now I try to limit myself
To twice…
But I do slip up,
If something catches my eye
And I HAVE TO WRITE!

Hello Reader!
Tonight, I don’t wanna write
I think I might just read
Appreciate you other folks,
Instead of feed my need
My need for likes and comments
Is growing quite insane
But thinking up another post
Might just blow up my brain!

The thing is, will I manage it? The amount of times I have said I wont be posting, I have things I need to attend to, or I am going somewhere, like last week, and I still end up on here, checking notifications, reading and, of course, writing!!!!
In fact I think I even posted MORE than usual last week, if that is possible!!!!
Still I am going to try!
