… and more importantly, why do I appear to accept the same award on more than one occasion from different bloggers?
I know lots of bloggers won’t do it… many won’t accept them formally after a few, as it may seem like a tedious process, sometimes, answering questions, and then linking blogs, oh then notifying those you have nominated…
And initially, I thought the same… OMG! This is taking forever! I need the PC, can’t do this on my iPad or phone with any great ease!
But then I thought, actually…
A) It’s fun!
B) I learn a lot about other bloggers by reading their responses.
C) My readers get a closer insight into my world, with every set of questions I answer, or every set of facts I reveal
D) There is someone out there in the Blogosphere who enjoyed my blog enough to want to nominate me and I am THANKFUL!!!!
E) If nothing else, I can give a new blogger, or someone I admire, a bit of promotion! Hey, I’m not up there with the BIG GUYS with thousands of followers, but my 465(ish!) are great and they love to click on new blogs, and find amazing reads they hadn’t encountered before!
So, if anyone rolls their eyes at me, as I accept another award, think of those who I have nominated, and the fact that we were all there once, as newbies… and that first award nomination is priceless, and the encouragement that it shouts out to someone is huge!

This is such an amazing statement, Ritu! I do these awards exactly for the same reasons. But you hit the nail on your head with each of your 5 points. It is fun, it is appraciation, it is suppport, it is gratitude and it shows a little bit more about the person behind the blog! Great! 💖 💖 💖

I agree Ritu! I knew that the award I received was probably a chain award, but the fact that there was a person out there who thought my blog was even worth nominating made me grateful. I think it’s a great outlook that you have and I enjoy reading them 🙂

Well for one I’m happy that you got all these awards you work hard to think of a post then write and edit it I’m sure. You being recognize by someone else is always a booster and why not do it over and over again!
For the few haters out there you may have, don’t pay them any attention, they are only a few of the many that truly follow you and are happy for you and love seeing you succeed!

I agree with you Ritu that it is an honour to be nominated for these awards. I certainly appreciate it when anyone has liked something enough to want to nominate me, The only reason I am not doing them anymore is that I wanted to try and give back in a different way, rather than struggle to think of what to write to some of the questions. Anyway, you go ahead and accept whatever awards you want, – you have earned them and thoroughly deserve them and take no notice of people that try and bring you down.

I love getting the awards. It may take time, but it is worth it for so many reasons. My big problem is that it takes me a loooong time to get the answers and new nominations done. I am going to try to do better. ❤️

It is a personal choice and I do not think any less of bloggers who do accept them. I appreciate ever nomination, but I choose not to accept so I can read more blogs, write more posts and comment more frequently on posts such as this that engage, and I only have about half the followers of you. Your reasons for accepting are perfectly valid though, and you should not feel ashamed of accepting them. Congratulations on your nominations!

Thank you! Its just a gut response to someone I know who said something, as they liked my Facebook page, and get my posts… And commented to me about going over board on accepting these ‘so called’ (their words) awards… They still mean a lot to me… An acceptance of sorts!

The awards are real, even if it is a game of tag, they are still meaningful because someone thought enough of your blog to nominate you. Don’t let people get to you. If they make you happy, then be the award-winning blogger you are!
