It’s been a busy week in nursery land, Christmas-ifying the classroom!
Here is the tree as decorated by the kids!
Here is our window advent calendar. The kids created the stained glass window pictures, and now they are uncovering them, one at a time.
Our hand print Christmas tree, decorated with salt dough decorations made by the kids!
Calendars made by the kids.
And finally, our Nativity frieze, made using collage!
No one can say we don’t have Christmas spirit here!!!

It’s a cute idea right? This is something that my colleagues have been doing for years! The frame is made my one of my very creative assistants! We slip in the collages pictures in, then, to create the stained glass effect!

Oh how lovely. I absolutely love all the kids’ nativity plays, and as soon as I hear them singing carols I bawl my head off!

Yes, I can. We are hopeless! When we dropped Miss Hap off at school to go to Germany, she said, “don’t you dare cry”. I think it shows her up!

😊 you know, I may not be Christian, but I believe that every festival has a significance that we need to teach our children, and Chrismas, there is the nativity, and the general magic around it all that is priceless ☺

That is so true, sis. It is the spirit of Christmas that definitely needs to be shared because it is simply the message of love we share and that is beneath relegion.

It’s a great idea, isn’t it! It’s something the nursery have done for a while, and the kids love opening it every day, they almost forgot they made the stained glass pieces, so every day is a little bit of wonder for them!

Aw thank you!!! We try our best! Christmas is such a special time, and for some of these 3 year olds, it will be the first one they really remember, so we really have to make it memorable for them!
