COLLEEN’S WEEKLY #TANKA TUESDAY #POETRY CHALLENGE NO. 111, “CELEBRATE & NUMBER,” #SYNONYMSONLY

It’s Tuesday, and that means Colleen’s Tanka Challenge! Of course, just providing a couple of words would be far too simple, so we have twowords, yes, but we can’t use them! Only synonyms allowed!

And there are a few forms of poetry that we can use… Tanka, Senryu, Haibun, Haiku, Etheree… so, here goes!

The words we can’t use this week are:

Celebrate & Number

So… here goes! A Reverse Etheree this week.

A huge amount of family and friends
Gathering together to rejoice
To appreciate each other
And all that life has given
Turkeys slowly roasting
The sides to die for
A meal for all

Loved this Ritu!!! Perfect holiday to write about (isn’t this just a U.S. holiday?) So warm and wonderful!!! Such a delight to read!! Read Dorinda’s post on Colleen’s challenge and got inspired, though it’s not a etheree – RINGS AROUND THE SUN.
Hoping to post this tonight. Bravo, My Dear!
