#SoCS May 21, 2022 – Clear

Linda’s SoCS prompt

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “clear.” Use it any way you’d like. Enjoy!

Now, clearly, I was too tired to schedule this post last night, seeing as I am writing it now, at 6 24am on Saturday morning (thanks to Sonu Singh waking me up for his food!)

I try to make myself crystal clear to him every Friday night, that Mummy needs a lie in, but, as if he has an alarm clock inside, he bounds into our bedroom at around 5-5.30a m, miaowing away. If I don’t wake straight away, he has a clear plan;

  • jump on the bed, massage Mummy.
  • If no response, claw the carpet.
  • If that doesn’t work, try climbing onto the windowsill and begin chewing plants
  • Failing that, knock over bin, and begin chewing random rubbish loudly.
  • If still no joy, run around the house madly
  • Still no food? Give up, and jump back on the bed and go to sleep with Mummy and Daddy until they get up.

So, now he is fed, I am awake, and planning for the day. Here’s hoping for clear skies, as opposed to the crazy rain we have had the last two days, as Lil Man has another cricket match! (Well, it is Saturday, and the season is upon us!)

Have a good day, Peeps!

We FINALLY have rain this Sunday morning, and although I woke my Freesia (cat) instead of your order of things, I am going to put on my T-shirt that says, “A rainy day, coffee, and a good book–my idea of Paradise,” and enjoy my latest library book. Blissful day!

My cat used to bat at the miniblinds and dig in the plants with her back legs (you can imagine the mess that made) until I got out of bed. Ah well, it led to a blog post for you, right? Happy Saturday!

LOL! Try two cats! They pester me to death to get up and feed them. Do you think they believe it’s their job to wake us up? LOL! ❤

See, that is why it is a dog for me. But I do like to view a cat or two, through glass or round the hinges of a door.
Not! I add, for it to wind around my legs or mew near my check or lick. That prickly lick is almost as bad as the furball, … hang on I feel sick. 😫😂🤣

A clear plan, upended by cats. It’s a common story in this house. Sonu Singh Might have been trying to keep you from missing SoCS. “”Just trying to help mum.”

We’re early risers here, actually up before the dog, who ignores for the first hour or so. Weather overcast but dry here, just right for another cricket pummelling 🙂 Hope you have a lovely weekend with some writing time. I have an editing mountain that I need to start climbing, as well as lots of freelance writing work to be done, so it will be nose to the grindstone here. CJ xx

      Thanks, CJ!
It’s warm here, but a little overcast. You’re right. Perfect cricket weather!
I’m taking my book to the cricket then when hubby and I swap shifts, u really want to get down to the nitty gritty of writing new words!
Here’s to a productive one! Xx
