“Are you ready?”
Mona looked up at Lisa, eyes full of apprehension. “I don’t know Lees… It’s all happened so fast. Am I really ready?”
It had only been a few short weeks since she made the decision to go to the police with the true story of what had happened that night.
And now here she was, a sack of nerves, knowing she was going to have to stand in front of a court full of people, and tell a bunch of strangers her story…
Still, at least he’d get what he deserved…

Ooh! You know how much I love a challenge, and Syl has passed the poetic baton on to me today! I feel honoured, as he is amazing with words!

Now this challenge created by my big blog brother Rich is all about adding a line to a poem collaboratively written by us bloggers, great idea right!
Now to the rules for this challenge:
1. Thank the blogger who nominated you and link back.

2.Link back to me Waffles.

3. Write one line in the poem. If 4 lines have been reached before you then start a new stanza

4. If you are the 17th line no need to nominate just send it back to me Waffles with a title for the next one.
Autumn
Autumnal hues herald dawn’s amber glow.
Nature paints in colorful flow.
Everything’s pumpkin from pop tarts to chips.
There’s even a seasonal orange pumpkin dip.

Now a crestfallen suns rich corpse spawns a great feast.
The aroma from scented candles tantalize the palette.
Eerie glows emanate from window sills.

The Monsters in My Daughter’s Head

She drew me a picture of the monster she dreamed up, did Lil Princess…
Don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t mind a visit from this particular monster… If he got particularly aggressive, I’d just eat him!

A ‘downut’ (donut/doughnut) head
A ‘clare’ (an eclair) body
‘Kit cat’ (KitKat) arms
‘Jaffa cake legs
‘Marsh mellow’ (marshmallow) feet…

It’s coming up to Halloween… I’d play a nasty trick on him, and give myself a tasty treat!!! Yum!!!

The only scary thing would be the lbs I may put on, def-eating the monster!!!
