Looking through some old boxes I found my old assignments from university, and within them, I found this… A chalk drawing, in the style (apparently!) Of artist Marc Chagall!
Seeing as I must have created this a good 18-19 years ago, my cultural naevity shows! A Sikh bride and groom though the Hindu fire, and a floating cow(?!?) And the carriage at the back, a ‘doli’ in which a bride sat, and was carried to her in-law’s, many moons ago!
Hope you like… I haven’t shared my art for a long while!

Can I say before I write, I am not feeling too ‘cheery’ at the moment, due to some sad personal news. The only ‘calls’ I had, held sadness…

I call out to you
As you seem to be floating
Far away from me
It hits me, like a bullet
Happiness evaporates

You left me then. Gone
No word to say you were off.
I feel so empty
Knowing that I shall not see
Your cheery face anymore…

Written by a rather frustrated Ritu, seeming my comments go into spam folders with increasing regularity recently, and I’m constantly being moderated…. I feel like I’m at work! Moderates? Sheesh!
So please Peeps, keep checking your spam folders, you never know who may be lurking in there… It could be me…. Or any number of other members of your blogily, not just the lovely spam branch of the family, that you don’t really keep in touch with!!!!
