Oh I Do Like To Be Beside The Seaside!

Well, I’m back from my daytrip to the seaside with my little lovelies!

It was, all in all, a wonderful trip, though I didn’t take as many pictures as I would have liked, as I was being surrogate mum to one little girl who’s mummy couldn’t come along too… It was a great day for the kids, especially many who hadn’t been to a beach before, and a lovely bonding time for parent and child too!

We collected shells, crabs (dead and alive!) and seaweed, and paddled in the waves.  Ate ‘sandy’ sandwiches, and bought ice cream, made sandcastles, and dug out ‘boats’, made sand hurdles for the kiddies to jump over, among many other things!

And the big one for me was taking all these people on a train!  Luckily the staff I work with have been doing this for a long time, so I was in good hands, and so were all the children and parents!

But fret not, I got a few photos! Not sure what the quality will be like, but here goes!

One of the staff managed to catch a small crab, and a baby one too, and a shrimp! But I didn’t get a picture of that!

Shells! I love a good shell!

And there we have it, my first class trip, as a teacher, to the seaside!

Trekking on a Tuesday

Well, good morning my Peeps!

It’s a cloudy Tuesday, with the promise of more clearer skies later in the day, and boy do I hope that happens…as I’m taking our nursery kids on my first school trip!

My colleague and I will be taking nearly 40 3-4 year olds, and accompanying adults, on a train, to a seaside visit!

All I can say is wish me luck!!!!!!

Encouraging Thunder…. it’s a hat trick +1,no +1 more too! So that makes it 5 times!

My Purpose In Blogging
What is my purpose in blogging?
Well, I love words, for a start. Reading them, writing them, and learning about them. It was an ambition for me to write a book … Any book. I started a novel, I’ve written some poetry based children’s stories… But it hasn’t gone any further, and in my life, there was not much place for my literary dreams to go anywhere.
Then I discovered blogging, quite by accident!
A friend started a blog to air some issues in her past, and clear her mind, and in order for me to comment, it tempted me to sign in, or sign up…. And so I did!
All of a sudden this blog was born. What I wanted it for I had no idea!
Slowly, I wrote different things, from my life, to creative, to opinions, humour, and not forgetting Sonu Singh!
The encouragement I received over the last 6 months, from the blogs above, and so many others, made my pen (read fingers!) flow, and so But I Smile Any way was born.
My blog has allowed me to reminisce, make you laugh, think, go ‘Awww!’ and given me the opportunity to meet and build relationships with fellow blog-pals around the world!
I thank you all for giving me the inspiration to continue to write, and maybe that lifelong dream of mine, to be published… Might even come true too!

And I’d like to pass it on to…

My First Post Challenge…

Thanks Judy, of Edwina’s Episodes, for nominating me for the First Post Challenge!

Here are the rules:

  • Copy-paste, link, pingback or whatever way you want to, your first post.
  • State what type of post that was. E.G. Introduction, Story, Poem
  • Explain why that was your first post.
  • Nominate 5 other bloggers. Five because I know the pain of opening a lot of tabs at once.

Way back in November 2014… at the end more or less, I stumbled upon blogging, and posted this… my first post.

It was an introduction to myself, in my Ritu-Style, and to be honest, I hadn’t a clue what I was going to do with this blog space…7 months later, this very space has created a space in my life, so big, that if I was to not blog for a day, I really feel it!

And I’d like to see the first posts of…
