Break | But I Smile Anyway...

Actually, I may take a well-earned break… but you know me, blogging breaks rarely mean me not blogging, but rather attempting to reduce my posts for a while.

So whilst I continue with the challenges that I enjoy participating in, and I can’t forget Spidey on a Sunday, I may just go a little quiet…

Possibly this is the time to get that WIP of mine finished!

Half term is coming, possibly I can concentrate on writing then, and get this first draft done!

Here’s hoping anyway!

Because we have booked a last minute break away! Just the four of us, heading into Central London for a couple of nights. Needed a change from these four walls!

So I may be a little quiet… (Quiet? Ritu? Now there’s a thought!)

I may not get to log in as much…(Who am I kidding? If my phone is with me then unless the battery dies, I’ll be here just the same!)

But I am sure I’ll have lots more to post about after!

And don’t worry, #Loveuary is still going!!!!!! I am all prepared!!!

FRIDAY FICTION with RONOVAN WRITES Prompt Challenge #34-Holiday

Friday gave me Ronovan’s Fiction Prompt, but as I have been a little out of sorts (read totally exhaustipated!) I was unable to get my head into gear.

The prompt word was Holiday.

So I decided to take a break too this week. Lara is having a holiday! She will be back next week, full of bumbling exploits with her crew.

Sorry… Cheesy excuse, but I seriously am so tired, that the old brain isn’t quite ticking as well as usual!

I sat with my computer on for hours, in front of me, and not one word formed when it came to Lara, so I figured, rather than feed you an awful chapter, we can have a break, and by then I will be on holiday too, and hopefully refreshed, I can get Lara’s story going again!

I have already mentioned this week, how mum’s sometimes want a break, but it doesn’t mean that they no longer want to be mum… they just need a change, once in a while…

Know this book? It’s a great story about a little boy, wrapped up in his own fantasy land, when he has been sent up to his room… well, today, I found this on the book store, and HAD to get it!

This is about a mum who has just had enough… And her journey, via a bubble bath, to the Land of Where The Wild Mums Are!!! Oh she parties, dances, balances drinks on her head, and gets crowned Queen of The Wild Mums, but knows when she’s had her break, and needs to get back to her reality…

Fantastic!

I read it to my kids and explained that though mummies love their families very much, even they sometimes need a break… Hint, hint!!!
