Thursday Thought

2 days… Just two more days… You can do it Ritu!

Then a week off from the craziness of school!

I’ll still be planning, of that you can be sure, but hopefully I won’t need to be popping in at all to school.

And though I was hoping for pure relaxation, and no plans, we have dentist appointments, and the possibility of the funerals of my two family members who passed away.

Oh and what I said about everything coming in threes. … We did hear of another death in the family, the day after. It wasn’t anyone as close, relation-wise, but my cousin’s father in law… So hopefully we won’t hear anything else negative now.

I could sure do with a shower of positivity right now… But all I’m getting is real showers, and rain! Thanks Mother Nature!

Have a good day Peeps, may you all have a positive day! I’m off to tackle another day of craziness in the nursery!

Am I Mad!!??

It’s the half term holiday here in the UK. That means we get a week off.

The kids recuperate, and the teachers try to dig the selves out of the marking pit, long enough to actually relax for a couple of days, before slipping straight back in!

I am officially between roles now. So no longer a HLTA, (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) arms 10 days off starting my proper teaching position. I aim to relax, get a bit of my course work done, and spend time with the kids!

Who am I kidding? Muggins here has offered to host a sleepover, happily, I might add, but still. That’s 5 kids, hubby and a cat to look after!! It’s only one night, but still…. Lots to get ready!

Then we can only hope for a couple of days away, before I need to get going on homework, mine, and the kids!!! Don’t forget the head teacher’s challenge either!!! And obviously prepare for my new role… Which might include a trip into school to get a feel of my classroom!

Relaxing shmelaxing!!! (-and since when did I become Jewish?!)

Day one of the holidays…

It’s officially day 1 of the kids half term holiday.
The weather is yuck, damp and foggy.
Great, a wonderful start, to what’s meant to be a fun day!
We’re off to Howlett’s Wildlife Park, it’s a kind of zoo. Like a Nature Reserve.
The kids are so looking forward to possibly seeing tigers, and gorillas and elephants!
The school has arranged it as a family day out, so I don’t need to worry about the travel etc, we go by coach, and the time there is ours, not structured. I’ve packed our lunches, just need to sort out suitable clothes, and Hubby Dearest will drop us off. I have my phone, so hopefully pictures will come out ok!

When we get back, I might actually be able to order our new bed (silent yippee! I’m still trying to convince hubby it’s the right one!!)

Then after dinner I still have 2 hours of Bhangra dancing and Dhol Drum lessons to endure…

Who said holidays were relaxing!? Who?? False advertising I say!!!!
