FFF #22 Hello

Tuesday means prompt night from. The Book Blogger, Matt, for a piece of flash fictionnot more than 100 words, based on a song prompt of his choice.
This week, is the new Adele song, ‘Hello’.
Check out the prompt here.

Hello…

A small word, isn’t it? But can be filled with so many possibilities.

The sign of new beginnings, a smile, a shake of hand, a chance that a new relationship may blossom.

And that one word started a chain of events so long, that I almost forget it was that one word that started it.

Bye…

An even shorter word…

3 letters that can gut you.

And gut me, they did. I don’t know what I did, but watching you with your bag in your hand, walking down the path, after uttering that word… I felt my world explode….

Where In The World Are You From?

The world has become a much smaller place for us all nowadays, with quick travel, and not only the fact that we can go to places as we please, but with books, and the internet, you can connect to all these places without even stepping foot outside your house!

untitled

I have gathered followers from so many countries and I would love to know exactly where you are!  (No, not your address, but just an indication of town and country!) so I can really know where you are!

I’ll start it off, I’m in Kent, U.K., but I’m a mixed bag… Born in Birmingham, UK, to Indian parents who were born and brought up in Kenya!

Leave a comment in the box so I can say hello!

Hello – FFF #6

After a brief examination hiatus, The Book Blogger is back with his Flash Fiction Foray challenge..it entails working a selected song title into a 100 word story… Oooh its been a
while, but here goes!!!
This time the song is a true classic “Hello” by the legend Lionel Ritchie, my brother’s favourite singer!

He sits across the room, looking over at me. I’m just as bad. Glancing over his way, catching his eye, then rapidly glancing down. He’s got the shirt, holding the flowers, like he said he would. I probably look totally different to what he was expecting, but that was my plan.
I do that, you know, try to seem anonymous, so I can decide if I really want to meet them. If I don’t like the
look of them, I walk away…
But too late, he’s coming this way! He steps up, saying
“Hello, is it me you’re looking for?”….

Hope you liked it! And go on, have a go too!!!

But I Smile Anyway...
