FRIDAY FICTION with RONOVAN WRITES Prompt Challenge #34-Holiday

Friday gave me Ronovan’s Fiction Prompt, but as I have been a little out of sorts (read totally exhaustipated!) I was unable to get my head into gear.

The prompt word was Holiday.

So I decided to take a break too this week. Lara is having a holiday! She will be back next week, full of bumbling exploits with her crew.

Sorry… Cheesy excuse, but I seriously am so tired, that the old brain isn’t quite ticking as well as usual!

I sat with my computer on for hours, in front of me, and not one word formed when it came to Lara, so I figured, rather than feed you an awful chapter, we can have a break, and by then I will be on holiday too, and hopefully refreshed, I can get Lara’s story going again!

Guess who’s home?!

Well hey there peeps!
I hope this little post finds you all well!
We are finally back from our little family break in Center Parcs, Sherwood Forest. A beautiful place, rainy for 2 days then sunny after.
Activities included Ariel Rope Course, Horse Riding , Golf, Badminton, Bowling, Katakanu-ing,nature walk,  teddy bear making, Pool, and of course,  swimming!!!
My legs ache from all the walking around.
We had encounters with lots of beautiful animals too… I shall post pics soon!
Our bank is empty from the extortionate prices of activities and good, but hearts and mind full of happiness, and great memories! 🙂
Oh and phone camera bursting with pictures, capturing special moments!
It took us time to get home, but home we are, tired and sated!
Washing machine is on… First load anyway, unpacking done (ish) and all I want is my bed!
I apologize I was unable to read many posts, but I managed to catch up with my notifications along the way!
And Sonu Singh is so happy to have us home! He’s back where he belongs, in our bags!!

But I Smile Anyway...

Am I Mad!!??

It’s the half term holiday here in the UK. That means we get a week off.

The kids recuperate, and the teachers try to dig the selves out of the marking pit, long enough to actually relax for a couple of days, before slipping straight back in!

I am officially between roles now. So no longer a HLTA, (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) arms 10 days off starting my proper teaching position. I aim to relax, get a bit of my course work done, and spend time with the kids!

Who am I kidding? Muggins here has offered to host a sleepover, happily, I might add, but still. That’s 5 kids, hubby and a cat to look after!! It’s only one night, but still…. Lots to get ready!

Then we can only hope for a couple of days away, before I need to get going on homework, mine, and the kids!!! Don’t forget the head teacher’s challenge either!!! And obviously prepare for my new role… Which might include a trip into school to get a feel of my classroom!

Relaxing shmelaxing!!! (-and since when did I become Jewish?!)
