Soaring in the sky,

High as a kite

In a world where

Everything is alright

A few hours of bliss

Before reality bites

Making the most

Of these drug addled nights

Morning comes

Where have you been?

The small silver pellets

Point out the scene.

Photo taken in a car park around the corner from where I live, where children walk past every morning, to go to school. I found these little amulets littering one area… Seriously, what are these kids doing nowadays?

I open this challenge to all of you.. if you wish to take part.

One Liner Poetry Challenge – Autumn Waffles

Ooh! You know how much I love a challenge, and Syl has passed the poetic baton on to me today! I feel honoured, as he is amazing with words!

Now this challenge created by my big blog brother Rich is all about adding a line to a poem collaboratively written by us bloggers, great idea right!
Now to the rules for this challenge:
1. Thank the blogger who nominated you and link back.

2.Link back to me Waffles.

3. Write one line in the poem. If 4 lines have been reached before you then start a new stanza

4. If you are the 17th line no need to nominate just send it back to me Waffles with a title for the next one.
Autumn
Autumnal hues herald dawn’s amber glow.
Nature paints in colorful flow.
Everything’s pumpkin from pop tarts to chips.
There’s even a seasonal orange pumpkin dip.
~
Now a crestfallen suns rich corpse spawns a great feast.
The aroma from scented candles tantalize the palette.
Eerie glows emanate from window sills.
And I nominate Jane Dougherty to continue this beautiful collection of words 🎃😊

Blogily Love ❤️

I was so overwhelmed today.

It was the last day of term… I am exhausted, been looking forward to this day for a while, and my dear blog bro Rich of Wafflemethis touched me withh a poem, all for me!

He’s recently found an amazing love for the written word, and his poetry is generally fantastic! I know, in his blog sis, you may think I’m biased, but I am actually serious… Go check it out while you’re here!

But before you go here is his little ditty for me, left in comments!

Yaaaay not an inset day in sight. That’s what I like to hear. You’ve earned it and need it Sis.

But look at it this way.

My Lil Sis has just completed her first half term at the real deal.
It’s been hard,

It’s been smelly,

You’ve cried,

And laughed from your belly.
There’s been bruises,

And some bumps,

There’s been tantrums,

And Humps.
The hard work is done,

Half terms finally here,

And now that you’ve done it,

I give you a cheer☺
Hip hip hooray

Well done sis xx

Thank you my dear bro!

A Photographic Breakfast

So, I love to take photos…
By no means am I a professional
And Hugh has set a challenge
That could be like a confessional
This week, present your breakfast
And post for all to see
Whether you sup hair of the dog
Or a lovely cup of tea
Full English, continental,
Cereal or toast
Or perhaps last night’s pizza
Is what you love the most!
He’ll be busy checking our photos
Of toast dripping with jam
And if he thinks it’s worthy
You might get featured on Instagram!

So here’s my today’s brekkie!
A cup of tea, with fresh strawberries and mango, granola with yoghurt and a mango puree!

But I Smile Anyway...

Thursday Truth

wpid-fb_img_1440083231330.jpg

Oh my dear children, this is so true!

I love you equally

But when you fight and bicker

I just wish that I could flee!

Seeing your smiles in the morning

They truly make my day

Yet the squabbling that follows

My temper starts to fray!

Oh both of you are angels

And devils in disguise

Neither one is ‘better’ or ‘worser’

No matter how hard he or she tries!

Ritu 2015

A little ode to my children, who I love without limits… but who are still capable of creating a ‘momster’ out of me within seconds of their inability to get along!

Thanks kids!

Have a Terrific Thursday Peeps!
