#SoCS July 15/17 – Book Title

Thank’s Linda for a real doozy this week!

The #SoCS prompt this week is…

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: “book title.” Take the title of the book you’re currently reading or the one sitting closest to you when you’re ready to write your SoCS post and base your post on the title only. I’m not asking for a book review or a synopsis, just whatever the title itself brings to mind. For example, Gone Girl makes me remember the first time I left home to live by myself. Or Lord of the Rings makes me think of all the rings I’ve owned in my life. Enjoy!

Ok, so the book I am currently reading is called My Dad Wrote a Porno: The fully annotated edition of Rocky Flintstone’s Belinda Blinked by Jamie Morton, James Cooper, Alice Levine and Jamie’s dad, Rocky Flintstone (Author Name obvs!)

Wow! So what came to mind when I thought of ‘My Dad Wrote A Porno’…

Noooooooo!!!!!!
OMG! That just could not happen!!!!! I can only think of my Pops as a spiritual, loving dad, with Yogic tendencies, not that Porn, or suchlike would ever be exposed to him!!! (literally, figuratively, EVER!)
And I am not even going to think any more about it lol!
I know they did ‘it’ at least twice, and my brother and I are proof of that, but apart from that… *fingers in ear* singing “nah nah nah nah nah nah nah! I can’t hear you !”

Sorry, Linda, that’s my lot, I feel a little disturbed now lol!!!!

#SoCS July 8/17 – Ick

Linda’s prompt for #SoCS this week…

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: “ick.” Find a word with “ick” in it or use it as a word itself. Have fun!

A couple of limericks!

There was a young bachelor from Chiswick
Who went by the name of Dick
He was tired of waiting
So tried speed dating
But he still couldn’t find a chick!

—————————-

The witch played an awful trick
Her finger did the Princess prick
She slept for so long
Until Prince came along
Now Witchy’s banged up in the nick!

#SoCS July 1/17 – Ooooh, Aaaah!

It’s Saturday, which means time for the #SoCS prompt! This week, as Linda has “a gazillion things to do” Dan Antion of No Facilities is filling in!

An interesting prompt this week Dan, thanks!

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: “ooooh, aaaah,”. Use it as a phrase, or break it apart. And since I love bonus points, bonus points if you somehow manage to start and end with all or part. That’s about it, oh yeah, I almost forgot – Enjoy!

Ooooh, aaaah!
Every time I move my arm!
I seem to do myself more harm!
Ooooh, aaaah!
My shoulder is killing me!
I am filled with self-pity!
Ooooh, aaaah!
Not easy to teach like this!
Should really give classroom dancing a miss!
Ooooh, aaaah!
Not sure what to do!
Think I’ll go and make a brew!
Ooooh aaaah!
Seriously
Heat spray is the thing for me!
Ooooh aaaah!

Dan, you are a hard task master too! But hope this got the points lol! My shoulder has really been hurting for the last few weeks… possibly an effect of the accident in February? Still, it made for good fodder for this post!

#SoCS June 24/17 – rain/rein/reign

Linda’s #SoCS prompt this week…

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: “rain/rein/reign.” Use one, use them all, use them any way you’d like. Have fun!

When you are a teacher, you dread the rain.

Seriously.

Because when rain stops play(time) then chaos reigns supreme!

You see, kids really need to get that short time at break, and lunchtime, to get some fresh air, and to run around, burning a little of that energy.

When they end up on ‘wet play’, stuck in the classroom for a whole day, it is mayhem!

Not only do you not get that opportunity to clear up your classroom, and prepare for the next session, you don’t get the break away from those little darlings either.

Break and lunchtime are the times the teachers can unwind slightly, after what could possibly have been a trying lesson time, we can loosen the reins on our mouths, and let off steam to our colleagues, so we are all calm for the next session (well, almost!)

But when it is ‘wet play’, we don’t get a break, they don’t get a break, we just all end up reaching breaking point!

And there you have it, my Stream of Consciousness on this Saturday morning!

(And Linda, all words used! :P)

#SoCS June 17/17 – Sign

Linda’s #SoCS prompt this week.

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: “sign.” Use it any way you’d like. Enjoy!

Do you ever think you know the score?
Knowing something’s gonna happen
That feeling of forboding
Or even feeling good
Because you felt ‘it’
It came to you
Telling you
A sign
Fate

A nonet inspired by the prompt!
