I love this image! Marilyn Monroe, one of the sexiest women to grace this planet, an icon for many…she was no size zero! She had the lumps and bumps that us normal women have, she had curves in all the right places, and a few in other places too! But hey, who cared!

She was beautiful, and that air she had about her was what counted, not the figure. She was happy in her body, not hiding away, and that happiness showed as she would confidently show herself as nothing other than herself. No air-brushing for our Marilyn!

So be happy ladies, celebrate your lady lumps! I know my stretch marks and mummy tummy are the souvenirs left by pregnancy and motherhood, and I wear em with pride!!!

(I just don’t flaunt em.. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone!!)

I am sooooooo guilty of this one!
Seriously!
Queen of ‘foot in mouth’! That’s me.
Despite my best efforts to be tactful, I can never get it quite right!
I’m fine with writing, but when talking, and I do a lot of that, it just seems to blurt out… Verbal diahorrea! And you can’t take things back, once you’ve said them!
Usually, it’s a harmless conversation, but just the way I word something can be misconstrued, and I wish I could reel the words back in, and spew them back out, anew, so something sounds better, nicer, kinder, more appealing… But it don’t happen like that, does it?
Oh well…

I loved this one when I read it.
We live in too much of a gadget-run life. The reliance on them means we have almost forgotten how to actually converse, and interact with real people!
My parents were at a wedding reception and there were two girls sat on their table, heads down, busy on their phones for ages, giggling intermittently. There was company galore, good music, dancing, food, yet they stayed there. After a while my mum asked what one was doing. She said she was messaging her friend. Mum assumed she was telling a mate about the party, it it turned out that she was sat across from her friend, texting her! They weren’t even talking, though they were sat next to each other!
Really!!??

If there is anything you take from this post, it should be to actually chat to people, meet up with them, and let them know you’re thinking of them… Not just a Facebook like, or a WhatsApp group message… I’m guilty too. But I know I need to reach out, in reality too, not just via Social Media!
