It never stops. Relaxing is nearly impossible with family, because there is always something that needs to be done. Sigh!

So many wonderful things we can do. Blessed our enthusiasm for so much… it can be challenging but better than being challenged by boredom and un unfulfilled life, right?

That’s when you say “screw everything!” and go to bed. Even if you’re at work.

Sometimes there is simply too much going on and if we can’t find that switch then we make our own. Hope can have at least a smidgen of relaxation Sister 💜

Oh boy, I’m betting every single one of us is nodding along with this one. The worst is when I finally fall into bed, convinced I’ve done what I can for the day, only to wake up at 2am thinking of that one thing I forgot. That really really needed to get done. Sheesh.

Had a night like that last night, to too it off… Followed by a dream in my small gap of sleep that wasn’t pleasant, meaning I didn’t sleep the rest of the night. I can feel the headache starting…

Isn’t that the truth. It seems that happens to everyone.

Ritu, you need a spa day…by yourself. No husband, no kids, no things to do. Make time. Oh, and instead of green tea, have a glass of wine with your spa. I think you may be able to relax then.

I thought retirement would be a time of rest, but learned on Day 1 it just is a time to hurry up to do all the things I wanted to do when I was younger! No moss grows on me.

Also, I hated taking naps when I was a little guy, but I learned in later life those naps are welcome and restorative. I let my body tell me when I need one, then doze off. On weaking, I’m ready to run a foot race again, figuratively speaking!

I rarely get a change to.let my body tell me what it needs. Getting better at trying to hear it, though.
Today, I’ve already had a hot bubble bath and am sat with my green tea and book, ready for a day of reading and nothingness… I hope!

I want to bring you to something different, Sis.

Here’s a nice online article about a new study on pubescent. These are said to be similar to monkeys. Always looking for a strong experience. Lol

Pubertierende wüten so ähnlich wie Affen

Sorry, only in German available, but the translator works fine. Best wishes, Michael

You need to be away from your home to really relax Ritu. I have finally started to chill 5 days in.

You’ll be like it when you’re eighty…Trust me, I know, Ritu..I feel I should be shawled and rocking in a corner, but it’s like a perpetual itch hat needs scratching,.Though retired, I never finish everything I want to each day. The mirror confirms my age but I still don’t believe it…Onwards and upwards. Hugs x

      Onwards and upwards indeed!
Reminds me of my Pops. He loves to dance. He’s a fantastic Bhangra dancer and, at weddings, will be the first on and last off. Younger dancers can’t keep up with him. Then when he watches a video he says “Ih God, I look ridiculous. An old man jumping around. When I dance, though, I feel 21.”
It keeps him young. Admittedly, he’s slowing down, but that mentality is still there 🥰
