#JusJoJan – 5th/6th/7th & 8th #OneLinerWednesday

I apologise for the delay in posting my last few days’ worth of jots, as I started back at school, and it has been a veritable whirlwind, lol!

Anywho, I shall try and add my musings for all four of the last days, including today in this post, and then, I shall go and visit some others with their entries, too! (I can’t believe I even missed my own prompt day yesterday! SMH!)

Prompt 5, Frustration, was from Barbara. Please be sure to visit Barbara’s blog to read her posts and say hello.

I tell you what, not finding the time to even jot just a few words down is a cause for frustration for me! I was so geared up to get writing every day, then the weather, school, and all manner of other things kicked in, and now, here I am, four prompts actioned, and four missed!

Prompt 6, Invigorating, is from Wendy. Thank you, Wendy! Please be sure to visit Wendy’s blog to read her posts and say hello.

I long for something that is invigorating, if I am perfectly honest, right now. Energy levels are at a low, and with the first day of school under my belt, also comes the fact that I had a sleepless night on Sunday, and another night of restlessness the next day due to anxiety about going back to school. I took a Magnesium supplement last night and I think it helped me sleep a bit better. I was more invigorated than the last couple of days, but I feel I still need more rest!

Prompt 7, Pernickety, is by the lovely me! If you’re reading this, you are already over for a visit, so, Hello!

I’ve never been pernickety, or so I think, anyway. Perhaps I have specific ways of doing things, but that isn’t a bad thing, is it? I used to be a fussy eater, growing up. Maybe a tad pernickety?

And so, to today, day 8, which is One Liner Wednesday with Linda herself! So I shall put a comment about the current weather we are having today…

“I wonder if the snow falling, right now, is the right kind of snow?” (Image below. Tell me!)

#SoCS & #JusJoJan January 4th, 2025 – In Front/Behind

Linda’s SoCS prompt…

Your prompt for #JusJoJan the 4th and Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: “in front/behind.” Use “in front,” use “behind,” or use them both in your post for bonus points! Enjoy!

Let’s just go with the flow on this one, shall we?

So, in front of me, I have my computer screen, and around it are various knick-knacks, ranging from gifts I’ve been given to mugs and my Lego Orchid. (Can’t kill that!) Just above the computer screen is my motivation wall, filled with quotes and to the side is my vision board, created last year, and updated.

Behind me are some of my bookshelves and my large (still blank at the moment) working board, where I write my current WIP plan.

I am surrounded by words, books and implements to help my reading and writing. I am in one of my favourite spaces. My writing room…

Hello! And welcome to our second prompt for Just Jot it January 2025. Today’s prompt comes to us courtesy of Liz. Many thanks, Liz! Please be sure to visit Liz’s blog to read her posts and say hello. And follow her while you’re there if you’re not already.

Your prompt for JusJoJan January 2nd, 2025 is “slingshot.” Use it any way you’d like. Enjoy!

If you’d like to see what I have so far on your prompt list and what’s to come, you can find the list HERE.

Hey there!

So, I am going to try and join in in as many of these prompts as I can, this January, in a bid to get writing, again!

And today’s word is slingshot.

You know, I immediately thought of a cocktail, but upon a little research, I was actually thinking of a Singapore Sling, however I did find a couple of ones called Slingshot! But, I’m pretty off alcohol now so no point in writing about them!

The second thing to come to mind is that little weapon… you know the one!

I never had one. I would have been a terrible shot. It would have wounded me more than anyone else, if I had tried to operate one to be frank!

Did you ever have one?

Write – #JusJoJan the 31th, 2023

And, it’s a wrap! Today is our thirty-first prompt for Just Jot it January 2023. This month has felt like the longest month ever, and yet it’s flown by. I won’t say too much here because I want to leave some for tomorrow’s wrap up post. But what do you say we finish this thing with a flourish?

Linda

Your prompt for JusJoJan January 31st 2023, is “write.” Use the word “write” any way you’d like. Have fun!

Why do I write?

Because I have so much to say!

Sometimes I think I started this blog because others were fed up of listening to me blather on, so I thought that a blog would be good. I could write, as if I was chatting, and no one could stop me, or if they didn’t want to listen, they could just shut the page!

That writing culminated in me getting to know so many amazing folk in the Blogishpere, and from those early years and their encouragement, my dream of having a novel published also came true.

And now I write, still for myself, but as much, for many people who apparently enjoy my ramblings!

I’ve got through writing courses and craft books, listened to podcasts about honing my ability, but shall I tell you the one thing I have learned? The most important thing?

There is no ‘write’ or wrong!

When you write from the heart, that is the purest form of prose or poetry.

On a personal note, I must thank Linda for hosting this fabulous month. It is never easy to coordinate these things, but she is just a superstar, and I used #JusJoJan as a training month to get me back into my writing. I hope that after this month, I can take time out every day and write words on book three so I stay on track for my idea of when I would like it finished.

Farewell, my fellow #JusJoJanners!
