TJ’s Household Haiku – Dry Cactus

Tj’s prompt today… An image of a cactus, or the word dry

I tried to use both…

The ground, parched and dry
Yet still a source of beauty
Where cacti can thrive

Sue’s Photo prompt.

I found it quite hard to think up something for this one, but here goes!

A family
There once were three
Now there’s nothing left

A calamity
Took their dignity
And no one has confessed

A community
presumably
Are now feeling bereft

Futility
They cannot see
This happen to the rest

The prompt words, Fresh & Wind

A selection…

Wind
A stench, not so fresh
Is lingering in the air
Oops! Pardon me…Wind!

Hayfever
The freshly cut grass
blowing pollen through the wind
not great for hayfever!

Awakening
A crisp breeze blowing
Refreshing my memories
Awakening thoughts

TJ’s Household Haiku – Dew

Yesterday TJ decided to shake up the format of his Haiku Challenge. it is no longer going to be just household items, but anything, and there will be not one prompt, but two: a word prompt and a photo prompt. Check it out here.

And this is my take…
