Yoda’s Brother! – Kids Logic Part 43

I was educating the kids in music again today, and we were listening to some R’n’B. Mark Morrison, of Return of the Mack fame.. You know the one!

Well, I mentioned how we met him in a London Club once, before he ended up being jailed for whatever reason…(I didn’t mention that fact!) and Lil Man was listening to the song..

LM: He sounds like Yoda’s brother…!

Really?!

Oh yes, I see it now.. But I still don’t hear it!!!!

Baba’s Veggies

My father in law has always grown tomatoes every year, and this time was no different… We are usually inundated with a glut of cherry tomatoes but this year tomato blight hit!

And he grew chillies, which are apparently very hot! I can’t vouch for that… I’m not a good Indian… I can’t do chilli!

He managed aubergines too this year!

And a single courgette… So far!

Looks like enough for one meal lol!!

But I Smile Anyway...

Bollywood – Kids Logic Part 42

We took the kids to watch a Bollywood film a couple of years ago, their first experience watching a 3 hour musical marathon in the cinema.

It was a great film, Chennai Express, I recommend to anyone who hasn’t seen it!

Antsy way, back to the kids, or Lil Princess anyway…

End of film climax… Hero, bloodied from fighting for his love, hugs heroine. All the viewers in the cinema are happy, true love prevails!

LP: but what about her hair??!! She’ll get blood all over it!

Typicall girl!!!

Tuesday Thoughts

This is such a true thought.

If I go shopping, alone, my eye alights onto the things the children would love… I end up with bags of things for them, not me!

Going out for dinner, on date night… Inevitably, the talk turns to our children, and missing their annoying noise, to the point hubby dearest is ready to go get them from their grandparents!

Any time we are alone, and they aren’t there, basically, our thoughts are on those children. After all, we had them, we wanted them, it stands to reason that they are on our minds 24/7.

One thing I don’t agree with are those manuals that say that your kids shouldn’t take over your life, they are merely a kart of it. Yes, they are a part of it but you know, they didn’t chose to be born, we made that choice. Surely that means they should be the most important part of our thoughts. After all family is the biggest thing, to me anyway.

These are just my thoughts. I know there are many different family situations out there, but where kids are involved, maybe the children should be at the forefront of our minds…

Have a thoughtful Tuesday Peeps!

Just in case you were wondering…

As you read this, you might wonder…. Why has that effervescent blogging soul, Ritu, not responded to my comments/liked my post/written something about my post?

Well, it’s because I’m not here! Yes, you will see scheduled posts popping up, but I’m off to no wifi land!!

Yup, Monday through to Friday our little family are away, leaving our faithful house sitter to eat us out of house and home, and finally embark on a family break!

And, it appears that there will be very limited wifi available, so sorry in advance if I am unable to respond straight away! But then, pure family time us so rare, that I hope you forgive me!

But, somehow, whenever this situation seems to arise, I always find ways to post, or respond, so, again, don’t be surprised if I DO post, lol!!!

I will hopefully fill you all in on our adventure when we’re back!!!

Bye Peeps! Enjoy your week!!! 😊😊😊
