Feel free to base responses of anything to do with the song, I always enjoy any different takes! 100 words! Make em count!
And my entry…
Looking at all those happy faces in the photos, Edith smiled to herself.
Vera, Rose, Lizzy, Isabel and her.
That was her favourite snap, the five of them on the promenade in Brighton.
A day trip away from the confines of the city. They were so happy, ice creams in hands, holding onto hats that were threatening to be blown away by the sea breeze…
She closed her moistening eyes.
That was 65 years ago.
She was the only one left.
No amount of wishes would bring her friends back, but she couldn’t help wishing it was yesterday once more…
Life has worn you out
Come and rest your weary legs
Upon my smooth back
Ritu 2016
I don’t have one, as such, and could only think of the small embroidered one we bought my Mother-in-law this birthday. It’s cute, and has a little drawer in the side, as the children thought their grandma could do with a secret hiding place for her pens and glasses! But I wasn’t able to get the photo… maybe later this week.
Then I remembered that I do have one, but it’s not mine!
It belongs to the kids. A miniature armchair and footstool set that Lil Man was gifted on his 1st birthday, by my parents.
You’re never too young
To relax with your footstool
And your matching chair!
Sue has given us a beautiful moss covered glade as a prompt for this week’s challenge.

A tanka from me today.
A russet carpet
Upon which lay stepping stones
Of deep emerald green
“Come to me,” the sun invites
“tread the path that no one has…”

Blowtorch
Pulling the ramekins out of the oven, I was really pleased with the results.
Dave loved Crème Brulee and I was determined to make this meal the best thing he had ever eaten. Never having made this before, I was following the instructions to the letter.
Now, what was next? Sprinkle sugar, ok.
Then using your blowtorch, caramelise the sugar.
Blowtorch?! No one told me I needed a blowtorch?!
“Mum! Dad! Have you got a blowtorch?”
“Yes love,” Dad answered, “it’s in the shed, I’ll just go get it.”
Moments later, Dad arrived with his protective mask and an industrial blowtorch. “Right love, what needs welding?”
