Its Happy by Pharrell Williams this time!
Gay (Happy)
The ice melted in his glass as he slowly rotated it. It was bad enough that he was here, in the same room as her, but on top of that, he’d walked into the bar, and there they were, celebrating. She’d seen him and called out to him, “Come on over Jim!” He’d thought about ignoring her but too many of the others had sent him and that would just be too rude.
So, here he was, pretending to be happy, watching the woman he loved, celebrate her engagement, to a woman.
Why could he never read the signals right?

FFF #15 – Send In The Clowns

Yes, you know it’s Tuesday,  and that means Flash Fiction Foray time with Matt The Book Blogger!
As always he chooses a song as a prompt and we have to write a short 100 word piece of fiction…
Find out about it here.

“Send In The Clowns” by Judy Collins

Here goes!

Top talent judge Diamond Prowell sat next to his co-judges Felicia Vixen, Samantha Bolden and Wavid Dalliams, waiting for the next act. He’d had singing monkeys, dancing geriatrics, a number of extraordinary magicians amongst others. There had been extraordinary acts, but who was going to win? The standards were high, the competition fierce, but Diamond couldn’t help but think… Really? Is this the kind of thing Her Majesty, The Queen really wants to see? Or maybe they’re going about it all wrong?

Should we go old school?

Find jesters?

Diamond thought…. A new show idea… “Bring On The Clowns!”

I hope you enjoyed it… Now go on, have a go yourself!!!

But I Smile Anyway...
