It’s been a while since I took part in Linda’s JusJoJan month-long prompts, but, since I vowed to be creative, here goes!
Today is January 11th, so this is the 11th prompt for Just Jot it January 2022, and it’s brought to us by Willow. Thanks, Willow! Please be sure to visit her blog to read her post and say hello. And follow her while you’re there, if you’re not already.
Your prompt for JusJoJan January 11th, 2022, is “cosmopolitan.” Use the word “cosmopolitan” any way you’d like. Enjoy!
When I think about Cosmopolitan, three things spring to mind.
As a teenager, I thought myself every so grown up, and ‘with it’ when I bought the magazine, as a teen, not realising that there were more adverts than articles in there! Still, it was to get this glossy publication filled with fabulous photos, and some interesting (sometimes naughty)reading.
I’d never even really heard of the cocktail, until I began watching Sex and the City, and yet, it still took me many years to actually try one.
Even then, it was a ready-mix variety I have purchased from the supermarket. Quite yummy, and extremely potent, was this particular mix.
It got the thumbs up from my sister-in-law and me, anyway!

It’s been a while since I took part in Linda’s JusJoJan month-long prompts, but, since I vowed to be creative, here goes!
It’s January 10th, so this is the 10th prompt for Just Jot it January 2022, and it’s brought to us by Ritu. (That’s ME!) Thanks, Ritu! Please be sure to visit her blog to read her post and say hello. And follow her while you’re there, if you’re not already.
Your prompt for JusJoJan January 10th, 2022, is “chocolate.” Use the word “chocolate” any way you’d like. Have fun!
Chocolate fills me with joy.
It also definitely decides to linger on my hips for far too long, nowadays.
I try to be healthy, buy more dark stuff, but there are times when only decent milk chocolate will do.
I love Cadbury’s Dairy Milk or Galaxy bars… The way they melt in the mouth, yum!
But my favourite of all has to be Maltesers. Yes, I know they are not pure chocolate, but that little piece of heaven; honeycomb wrapped lovingly in chocolate; my absolute favourite!
Don’t put a box of them anywhere near me, because;
What is your favourite chocolate?

What a first full week of the year, eh!
Did you get a drink?

This week, I am hoping to continue my streak of writing on the blog in January, as well as a little more every few days added to the WIP. I don’t have anything major planned with school, or at home, so hopefully it will be a relatively smooth week!
And while you’re here, did you sign up for my mailing list? I am in the middle of writing an exclusive Chickpea Curry Lit story for my subscribers, and there will be news, tips and even recipes! You know you want to join… go on! Click the pic below to sign up!

It’s been a while since I took part in Linda’s JusJoJan month-long prompts, but, since I vowed to be creative, here goes!
It’s January 9th, so this is the 9th prompt for Just Jot it January 2022, and it’s brought to us by Astrid. Thank you, Astrid! Please be sure to visit her blog to read her post and say hello. And follow her while you’re there if you’re not already.
Your prompt for JusJoJan January 9th, 2022, is “unicorn.” Use the word “unicorn” any way you’d like. Enjoy!
I think my daughter just missed the whole unicorn mass hysteria, that the little girls out there seem to be experiencing, right now.
Mind you, she’s always been her own person, and even if others were crazy about something, she would decide not to be a follower It was the same with Frozen – she never got into that. Even at 6! And One Direction. Whist others in her class were singing their songs and being all cutesy about who they loved best, she was not interested. Instead, she did a performance of Why Does Every Princess Need To Have a Prince, with some friends at the end of the year talent show.
A real independent woman with a bit of a feminist thrown in there!
Anyway, I digress…
Unicorns. I have a couple of girls in my class, right now, with those hats that have long extended sides, that end with mitten like gloves, and they are designed like unicorns.
Another one joined the unicorn fray, well, so I thought until I questioned her lovely, light-grey unicorn hat.
“It’s not a unicorn, Mrs Bhathal. It’s a narwhal!”
She reminded me of my fiercely independent girl sitting at home.
We ended up doing a little google search to look at pictures of real narwhals, that afternoon.
Why not be a narwhal in a see of unicorns, eh!
