Wednesday’s here and on my blog that means that the awesome Sacha has set her next #writespiration prompt!

writespiration-2017

Fulfilling a prompt in fifty two words is not an easy thing to do, but here goes! The prompt is…

This week include the theme below in your story:

The distance between…

Now if you know me, you know how important my Malteasers are to me!… So I give you

The Malteaser Marathon!

One, two, thr… damn, where was three?
Having just got my shopping done before closing time,  and caught the bus by the skin of my teeth, I thought my luck would have changed.
But no, one bag was left on the bus!
I ran… The distance between my Malteasers and me growing…

WRITESPIRATION #102 52 WEEKS IN 52 WORDS WEEK 6 – Perfect Teeth

Sacha’s back with her 52 word story prompt.

That moment you see your ex with their hot new bit and you look like a turd.

Here’s my take!

Skulking into the dentist’s surgery, with my chipped front tooth, I thank God for emergency appointments.
Looking up, I see him, my ex, with someone who looks like the Goddess of Perfect Teeth!
He pecks her on the cheek, “Pick you up at 5, snugglebum!”
Trust him to be dating my dentist!

WRITESPIRATION #101 52 WEEKS IN 52 WORDS WEEK 5 – Splat!

She’s a hard taskmaster, that Sacha Black! Her prompt this week for her 52-word #writespiration challenge is to include 4 specific words in our writing. And what a selection she chose!

Time, stack, pigeon and juice!

I mean, seriously Sacha!!! Still, I did it!!

Oh well, here goes… Sorry of it makes no sense, but this is what you get when silly words are thrown at you, lol!!

Splat!
I look up and see a pigeon almost smugly, smile down at me.
No time for changing.
A stack of work waits on my desk alongside a presentation, promotion resting on the outcome.
No, I need to change. Just call to say I’ll be late.
Jeez! Phone out of juice too!

So here goes!

writespiration-2017

Sheesh! Who’d a thunk it?

Still, it was worth it. It was a great night!

The music was pumping, the people were dancing, the drinks were flowing.

Jeez, were they flowing… One hundred bottles of flowing!

No wonder my head hurts.

Just wake me when it’s all tidy!

Perks of hitting 100!

I only wish that if I hit that milestone, I can still party as hard! 😉

#JusJoJan Daily Prompt – Jan. 20th/17 – Transcendent /#WRITESPIRATION #99 52 WEEKS IN 52 WORDS WEEK 3

Combining two prompts together again today because, well, I can!

Day 20 of Linda’s #JusJoJan challenge with the prompt below;

The Just Jot It January 20th prompt, brought to you by Deborah of the blog, Notes Tied on the Sagebrush, is: “Transcendent.” Use it any way you’re inspired to. And make sure you stop by and say hi to Deborah as well! Here’s her blog: https://notestiedonthesagebrush.com/ .

And week 3 of Sacha’s new, improved #writespiration prompts.

SO, your challenge if you choose to accept it, is to write your story using the weekly theme/prompt and write it in just 52 words…. EXACTLY, no more, no less.

This weeks theme:

Lost Things

Certain things, once lost, can never be ‘found’ again.
She learned that the hard way.
Famous once for her transcendent beauty, she had it all.
Then that damn thing called ‘Age’ happened.
No amount of surgery helped.
If anything, each treatment seemed to bury her looks further.
Who said beauty is ageless?
