Our next door neighbour has a new kitty, Felix. He’s an outside cat, unlike our Sonu Singh, and nowadays, he comes into our garden to have a run around. I’ve seen him hiding from me, chasing foxes around, and then there are the moments Sonu Singh and him have a stare off at the patio door…
Managed to grab a few stills on the iPad camera today…
I even took Sonu Singh on his lead and though Felix ran further away, they stared at each other for ages! Though Sonu Singh wasn’t interested in chasing him… It’s a tad blustery today and he was intrigued with the way the grass was blowing back and forth! In fact he was afraid to put his paws on the wavey sea of green, happy to watch from the patio slabs! Scaredy cat!!!

My cats don’t go outside either. It’s so dangerous for them to roam around. One of my cats was a hit and run rescue so, he will never be allowed to roam freely but we have a screened in porch, so that’s good. The leash lead is a great idea. My other cat is an old guy now and doesn’t do much other than eat, sleep, and look out the window 🙂

I love his reaction when he does go out… But I feel sad watching him watch the outside world, yet still, you’re right, its not safe, and the kids are petrified that he would run away!

It is sad, and cats love the outside world. My dad lives in the country and has many outdoor cats. It’s a bit safer there but he has lost a few to running away or even venturing too far towards the roads. So scary. My cats seem at least happy to go out on the porch. It’s a compromise 🙂

That’s what we have too, a compromise!!! The harnass and lead allows him to get out and explore, but with our guidance 😽😘

Your photos reminded me of my cat, Clementine. She loves to watch and “stalk” birds from our patio doors. These kitty cats get such intense, little expressions on their faces when they’re watching something in their territory. 😉

That is so interesting to watch! And also fun to see that staying inside is more interesting than checking out his new neighbor 😃 Thanks for sharing, sis!
