“Tired, but not the kind of tired that sleep fixes.”
Maureen Johnson

Sorry, Spidey, I wasn’t yawning at you. I’d never be that rude!
But honestly, I am reaching that level of exhaustion now, the one mentioned in the post title.
Exhaustipated.

Seriously.
I am knackered! It’s been two weeks since school started, and I’ve dealt with a whole host of things related to school, already.
We’re in week four of having builders around, so the mess is getting to me, and all the other work associated with clearing areas ready for them to work is trying to push me over the edge, too.
Ferrying kids around to appointments and training, or matches is down to me because hubby is working, and supervising the builders, whilst slowly suffering cabin fever.
I’m falling asleep almost immediately every night. I’m not sleeping past 5am.
I have no energy to read, let alone write.
Still, something’s got to give.
I can’t deal with this for much longer.
I am hoping that within two weeks, the work will all be done around the house for us. Then we can get it on the market, and start the hunt for our ‘forever home’.
School is school. It won’t go anywhere. If anything, it will get more intense, especially if we end up with local lockdowns, or a second wave. At least I have a fabulous team behind me – our Dream Team.
I’m trying hard to relax when I can, but it isn’t easy. Reading is my thing, yet I can’t stay awake for long enough. I’m making sure I have my bubble baths, though. Aand sleeping when my body says it’s had enough.
But, I’m still smiling through it all.
Because that’s what I do best.
So… tell me, how do you deal with extreme exhaustion?

Have a peaceful Sunday Peeps. And enjoy your week!

Experiencing exhaustion, but maybe not as many stressors as you. But, then I am considerably older than you and the pain from arthritis and other old-age ailments evens out our “conditions.” LOL
Praying for strength for you and that the house will be done soon. I don’t know how you do it all, Hon!

Thank you, Rae!
I’m battling with body pains, too (under investigation over the last year!)
But this time next week, it’ll be another few steps closer to finish!!!

Exhaustipated is the perfect word! You can’t do anything except sleep when you can. Reading and writing will return. As soon as the house is in order it will get better. I know, it’s really exhaustipating. It’s not forever!

The good news on this one is that you can´t be to tired of me, although Spidey did seem to have a bit of a bad day today or just be real and curse them off. But, he is Mr. Spidey, I almost forgot to check him out today Sunday, never will happen again.

Hang in there. This too will pass. Any building work makes me crazy, on top of everything else. Glad to hear you still take time for a bubble bath. I used to read in the bath and it helped. xo

It takes a sustained period of good rest. Maybe after the builders are done. I hope so. I know it can be frustrating.
Take care.

I do sympathize, Ritu. When a bit older than you, ‘im indoors and I ran a hotel for a few years. Eleven bedrooms and not enough money, we worked our socks off…Two of our three sons were with us, one working one still at school. Phew! Fast forward. Now ancient and I’m still tired…even more so. Thank heavens for the Spanish siesta (nearly typed fiesta…). If you could manage one/two at the weekends, it would surely help? I agree with Steve about breathing, as I try this out most days. Hey ho! Take good are. Hugs x

Hi Ritu it’s not surprising with everything happening around you and within the energies of the world you feel so drained.
Building work around a home is more than stressful in itself. Let alone everything else you do.
Like some one else said, deep breathing exercises do help.
Sometimes I catch myself breathing very shallow when stressed. When I used to work in stressful situations I would lock myself in the loo for five minutes. Breathe and relax, and gather myself. I used herbal remedies to help me sleep.
Hope you soon feel better Ritu.
Much love 💚🙏

My best advice is to find a simple breathing exercise; one that takes a few minutes, then take yourself ‘out of the world’ in your mind while you do it. The more you can isolate yourself in the exercise, even for a few minutes, the more you will micro-refresh. Perhaps your Dad could suggest a yoga breathing routine? 😎 Steve

Yes, Steve, you’re right. If I’m in the car, alone, I try to relax, and before bed, if I don’t fall asleep straight away!
