Linda’s #SoCS prompt this week:
Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “mini/maxi.” Use “mini” (the smallest of something) or “maxi” (the largest) or both in your post. Have fun!
When I was just a girl,
A Mini was my dream
A little car to pootle about in
I'd polish it to a gleam
I also wanted to wear one
Not the car, the miniskirt
But I was always worried
I'd get accosted by a pervert!
These days I prefer a larger car
To cart the family everywhere
And I don't do the car wash
That's the kids' nightmare!
And as for those miniskirts,
I've not the legs, no more
So a maxi works just fine
A skirt down to the floor!

😂 I am sure you always can wear a miniskirt. Look at most of the others, legs as thin as a needle. Not very useful for miniskirts. 😉

A former co-worker used to drive a mini cooper, but she traded up for an SUV that drives much better in the snow. That’s important around here.
Ahhh, the miniskirt. When I was in my teens, I used to fight with my mom about the length of my hem. In my 20’s, I did as I pleased. Now, I’m with you. I’ll take something longer, to keep from scaring small children. :-p

That’s so cool… haha! The older we grow the bigger everything gets. Hopefully only the things around us… lol! My daughter has both so far: the Mini (car) and her mini skirts.

My first car was a mini, my shortest mini skirt about 12 inches in width (I had the legs and a decent waist then), but in later years, maxi skirts were much better, especially in the winter! I miss my Summer jingle jangle skirt though, Egyptian cotton, and so cool!! Good poem Ritu. Brought back some happy memories.

I passed my test in February 1978 and we bought Min from friends for £100. It lasted a matter of weeks before the engine blew, so we had to get me something else, which was a little Ford Anglia (1966 reg, the mini was 1965) and that lasted me two years. Happy days!!
