Spidey’s Serene Sunday – Part 328 – Father’s Day

img_00411

“My father has always been my hero.”

Gregory Hines

Yup, Spidey, I agree with that quote 100000%!

My Pops is the most wonderful father there ever was, and I never leave it to one day a year to tell him. Every time we speak, I make sure he leaves the call, with me telling me how much he means to me, and whenever we see each other, that hug is what conveys all the emotion. It works both ways.

I could myself blessed that I was born his daughter. The wisdom he has imparted upon me, the love he has showered on all of us, the constant, invisible support he has been for us all…

But, my Pops isn’t the only father in my life…

I have my father-in-law, and hey, if it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t have the gorgeous husband that I was lucky enough to have been blessed with! Thanks, Dad!

Talking of Hubby Dearest, I couldn’t ask for a better father for my children. He is the sweetest, most caring, amazing dad to our two teens, who test us daily. He showers them with love and makes sure they want for nothing.

I couldn’t write this post without mentioning my brother, who has proved to be an equally fabulous father, to my tow Finndian nephews. I am so proud of how he has adapted to being a Dad, as well as working, and supporting his family. It always warms my heart to see how he is with his two boys.

I am incredibly lucky to have these amazing fathers in my life, and I am well aware that there are many out there who either do not have that kind of role model around them, or maybe have lost their own.

My heart goes out to you ❤

So… tell me, if you do, how do you celebrate Father’s Day?

Have a peaceful Sunday Peeps  And enjoy your week! ❤

Such a beautiful post dedicated to the fathers in your life. You are truly blessed. And thank you for thinking of those who’ve lost their fathers. My dad passed away in 2005 after a year’s bout with Leukemia. There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t think of him. I’m so grateful for the time I got to spend with him while he was here. ❤

I’ve been pretty fortunate in that department. And today, I painted the kitchen walls and ceiling and was provided with a family barbecue – perfect…

You are indeed lucky to have all these great dads around. They make ideal role models. I was so lucky to have my hero dad for as long as I did. My own son is an amazing father and I can often see my dad’s influence.

Happy Father’s Day to my dear uncle! Looks like Father’s Day is taking place on even more different days than Mother’s Day in this world.

Yes it should be more than one day a year that we appreciate and remember fathers, husbands, brothers, sons, sons-in-law and nephews who are great dads.

What a wonderful tribute to your father- I’m inspired by it!
As my father does not live close by, I sent him a father’s day card and usually something delicious to eat. This year though, since now my mother is struggling with diabetes, I’m not sending food, instead I found my elderly father a fun ”Grandpa T-shirt” I wish I could be there. As for my husband, we will have cake and the family here will sign his father’s day card, and watch a ‘father’ related movie together in his honor!

I know it’s hard, especially now, given all restrictions. My Pops lives 3 hours away, so I won’t see him, today, but will speak on the phone. We will see my father in law though.
But I’m craving that hug from my Pops xx
