Spidey’s Serene Sunday – Part 375 – Overcoming Problems

img_00411

“The man who moves a mountain begins by carrying away small stones.”

Confucius

Definitely one for me to keep in my mind after this last week, Spidey, thank you.

Another week, another whole host of issues to contend with. No one ever said being a parent was going to be easy, and being a teacher in team management is exactly the same!

This week, I have had things going on at school and home, involving the emotional well-being and mental health of people I care about.

A lot.

And how ironic, since it is Mental Health Awareness week, here in the UK.

It has been exhausting, to say the least, but equally, I feel proud of the people involved for coming forward and talking to me or someone who they feel will listen.

The above quote totally highlights this.

Anything we want to do for ourselves starts by us taking that first step. It may seem small to some, but any step is a big step, especially if it is the first.

What I do know is that this is the start of what could be a very precarious journey for us in some ways, but at least we are on that journey, now.

So, have you ever had to deal with someone whose own mental health has been hanging by a thread? How have you managed through the journey?

namaste

Wishing you a wonderfully peaceful Sunday, Peeps!

That first step is a big one, the rest are easier.

HI Ritu, like you I attract colleagues and people who need someone to listen and offer some advice when they have worries or decisions to make. I have done a lot of this sort of counselling and it always surprises me because I consider myself to be a very practical person rather than overly sympathetic.

There are so many good advices, i cant say anything better, Sis! In any case, it’s a difficult thing, and as Erika advised, i also think it’s important not to let things get too close to themselves. Best wishes, Michael

Exactly, Sis, if we want to feel different, regardless of the situation, we need to begin by changing the way we think about it currently. The secret word is delimitation. And it can be achieved when we stop identifying with our circumstances. Maybe easier said than done but the quote says… getting there stone by stone. So, keep up the good attitude for yourself and others, Sis 💖

Finding peace within is first for me. Then I have peace to share. Energy is key. I have found that those in the throes of emotional chaos are not necessarily capable of a one-on-one interaction of dialogue. I fill my heart with reasons why the person is a wonderfully, loveable child of God and say, in my mind, “I am so happy for you.”

it’s all baby steps, but that does not make it any easier. don’t give up and just do the best you can with what you can control and have to make peace with letting some things go that you can’t

The Journey of a thousand miles starts with just one step.
I hate it when people say I have there, they haven’t they have been somewhere similar. I have had to cope with mental issues and addiction problems in the family and outside. It’s an up hill journey and often gets harder before it gets better. Sometimes you can only do your best to keep going. Remember to look after yourself if you don’t there will be no one at the helm, believe me I know.
One step at time Sis 💜💜💜💜

FIrst step I think is the most difficult one to take, then you make your mind not to quit and the road becomes easier. All in the head. Mr. Spidey gets wiser and wiser every Sunday, are you giving him advice?………..
