So, it’s Sunday afternoon, relax, enjoy the garden….
Nope, not me!
Hubby is gardening in earnest and due to hay fever, I try n stay away! But I did weed the driveway with Lil Princess!
Needed a bit of bribing though!
You see, she has become a little too interested in these YouTube make up tutorials, and recently has been asking whether she could do my makeup…
I am a bit of a lazy make up person, don’t use it regularly, but I have plenty. And she always eyes it up with the biggest eyes!!
So I was like, “Er, OK, but onkybufvyou help me with the weeding first!”
And damn, she said yes!
So…

Last day of term… = teacher appreciation and gifts!
While this is so not the reason I teach, it is a lovely perk of the job!

Gifts including chocolate (- lots!), wine, a scarf, jewellery, a handbag, pens, notebook and candles!

Aw! 6 weeks to spend with this cutie!!!

Note to parents… You should never feel obliged to buy teacher gifts… It’s become a big thing recently, and quite an expensive business too. We would be happy with a card written by the child, and if you really had to, a box of chocs or biscuits for the staff to share! But all your gifts are truly appreciated, so Thank You! 🙂
A heartfelt thank you to you all who spoke with us and relayed how our being there for your child, had helped them in some way, or another.

This is why I teach… The chocolates are a bonus!

Oh man it’s getting tougher and tougher by the day!

Lil Man’s Sex Education is coming along at an alarmingly fast pace!

I was under the impression that it was all about body changes this week, and the BIG chat about how babies are made would be the finale week of the term… leaving us parents with all the interesting questions during the long holidays!

Well, the boy told me that they had talked about S.E.X yesterday, so I managed to get him alone, with no impressionable Lil Princess ears about.

Me: So, what did you talk about?

LM: Mum, what’s a dido?

Me: Huh?!

LM, I mean what’s a dildo?

Me: Where did you hear that?

LM: Oh, one of the boys asked in our chat yesterday…

Me: And what did your teacher say?

LM: Ask your parents! It’s a Toy penis, isn’t it?

Me: (again) Huh??!!

LM: Well that’s what another boy said…

[moving swiftly on!]

Me: Riiiight… so what else?

LM: S.E.X. (giggles)

Me: What about it?

LM: You get neked!!! In bed!

Me: So you get naked, in bed and a baby is made?

LM: (coyly) Kissing!

Me: Ok so you kiss and have a baby?

LM: I don’t know! (giggles)

Me: [smiles]

LM: There was one question someone asked that I cant stop laughing about…

Me: What was that?

LM: Someone asked what you would do if you needed the toilet during sex!

Me: And you were told…?

LM: Teacher said you would have gone before hand!

Me: Why? What would happen of you needed the toinet during sex? (sly probing mummy…!)

LM: Well, you would (quietly) wee in the girl!!!! (dissolves into fits of giggles!

Me: (Giggles uncontrollably!!)
