Sue’s #WritePhoto Prompt this week:

I thought I’d continue the adventures of Barbie and Ken! Will he ever learn???
“This, Babe,” Barbie turned towards Ken,” this, is just perfect!”
She looked around the winter wonderland surrounding her and sighed.
She had dreamed of a white Christmas for so long, and finally, Ken had got something right.
A surprise truly worth having!
Looks like the magic of Christmas had worked for Ken!
“No no no no no!”
He turned to see Barbie manically crunching around in the snow, phone held aloft.
“There’s no signal Babe! No WiFi either! How am I gonna get my selfies posted now? I told you we should have just booked to go to the Winter Wonderland in London!”
Ken rolled his eyes… It had been too good to be true… no matter how he tried, he never got it right!

Sacha’s #Writespiration prompt this week:
Your challenge is to write your story using the weekly theme/prompt and write it in just 52 words…. EXACTLY, no more, no less.

This week I want you to write a story including these words:
jugs, bamboo, nostril and frozen.
Sitting under the shade of the bamboo tree, Becca coolly sipped her near-empty drink.
She looked up and saw the most handsome waiter with jugs of cocktails for her. As she raised her glass to drink, the straw went up her nostril.
Frozen with embarrassment, she looked at him then reddened.
“Oops!”

Sue’s #WritePhoto Prompt this week:

I thought I’d continue the adventures of Barbie and Ken! Will he ever learn???
“Babe,” Ken got down on one knee, “will you…?”
He reached down into his pocket, fumbling for something.
“Oh, Ken!” Barbie cried. “Yes! Yes! Of course I will!” Barbies eyes sparkled with the onset of happy tears.
“Oh, er, great! Cool. I didn’t think you’d be that keen! Okay, then, here’s my phone.” Ken got up and handed his new iPhone X to her.
“Er, what’s this for babe? I mean, where is it?” Barbie asked, looking at his hands, searching for that small box to appear.
“Well I wanted to ask, will you take a cool shot of me planking on the top of that funny looking building over there? I reckon it would look epic on my Insta!”
“Planking? Photo? Insta? Really babe?! Well, you know where you can shove that!” Barbie threw the phone back at Ken and stormed off, as fast as she could, tottering off in her rather unsuitable heels.
Ken just about managed to catch the phone, thanking God it hadn’t fallen and smashed on the rocks.
“What have I done now? Oh well, I guess I’ll have to try and use my selfie stick. Babe? I’ll catch up with you later…”

I’m taking a chance on one of Charli’s 99-word prompts over at The Carrot Ranch!

November 23, 2017 prompt: In 99 words (no more, no less) write a story about Five a Day. It does not have to be five servings of fruits and vegetables. What is needed five times a day? Have fun with what pops to mind for the prompt.
Here’s my take!
Five-A-Day
“Five?”
“Yes sir, five.”
“So, Doctor, I have to take five of these little beauties a day?”
“That’s right. Five of these golden capsules every day.”
“Wouldn’t it be easier for me to just move to a country full of sunshine?”
“If only it was that easy, Mr James.”
“Wow! Shake me and I’ll rattle!”
Jack laughed to himself as he left the surgery with his prescription.
Another addition to his daily cocktail of pills. Vitamin D3.
Sat behind a desk all day, earning good money but not seeing daylight, meant losing his health instead…
The price we pay…

Sacha’s #Writespiration prompt this week:
Your challenge is to write your story using the weekly theme/prompt and write it in just 52 words…. EXACTLY, no more, no less.

This week your story needs to include the following phrase:
“I don’t believe you.”
“I don’t believe you! There is no way Johnny Depp is inside that café. Stop playing with me!”
Leanne stormed past her best friends, the bell tinkling to signal her arrival.
Only he was there, and so was she, stinking of manure, after having cleaned out the stables.
“Ground! Swallow me now!”
